"Someone came out the first day I requested a quote and started the work within 2 weeks as promised. The work took a bit longer than expected due to weather conditions, but understandable. The work was done as discussed and at a reasonable rate for the amount of time it took. Our drainage and water issues required a lot of manual labor to install a French drain, reroute a rock creek and reroute gutter drainage. The customer service was excellent and the team very responsive. Would highly recommend this company."

To prevent your asphalt from deteriorating prematurely, you should follow a good maintenance routine involving regular cleaning, reparation work, and resealing.

When asphalt cures, it typically changes from a very dark black hue to a lighter, more matte gray color. Cured asphalt also won’t be tacky or sticky to the touch or emit any odors from the asphalt mix. Additionally, the surface of fully cured asphalt won’t deform under any pressure.

Driveway paving costs around $4,500 on average, but depending on many factors, you could pay anywhere from $2,500 to $6,600 or more. The size of your driveway will usually be the most significant factor, with more square footage increasing your costs. You can expect to pay between $2 and $15 per square foot for paving services. Professional installers often include a deep layer of crushed gravel under permeable pavers to allow more runoff to soak through into the soil below. Many installations will include multiple layers of gravel, with coarser aggregate at the base and finer aggregate that sits on top of that bottom layer. Above the gravel, you’ll often find coarse sand that helps reduce paver shifting over time. Some permeable paver designs include a water collection system set into the gravel layer to route runoff to a safe area for disposal.

The stones do not work well on uneven ground. If the stones are not buried into the ground and made level upon installation, they almost certainly will shift or crack on uneven ground. Additionally, rainwater or water from sprinklers can run under the edge of an uneven paver, causing erosion. In a freeze and thaw cycle, trapped water under the paver can cause the problem to worsen by shifting the stepping stones around. Use a bubble level to make sure the ground under each paver is as even as possible, even if the nearby ground is uneven.
