"Ducts were cleaned as we contracted for. When they finished the HVAC ducts they said they would do the dryer vent as a complimentary service. I told them I had recently cleaned it and they would probably not get much lint out of the vent. I was amazed at all they got out and it was at no additional charge."

Some HVAC systems tend to use R410A refrigerant, although if you have an older model it may be using R22. R22 is banned due to its harmful environmental and health impacts, and it is a sign that your AC unit is old enough to consider a replacement and the significant efficiency gains that could come with it.

The length of an AC cycle depends on the settings in your thermostat and the unit you have. Central AC doesn't constantly run at full blast the way that a window unit does. High humidity is one of the most common reasons for air vents to sweat or produce condensation. When the cool, dry air from your HVAC unit meets warm and moist air in your home, it will cause condensation. Insulating your ductwork can help prevent this. If you live in a very humid region, a dehumidifier can also help.

Signs of a damaged evaporator coil include warm air from vents, frequent starts and stops without proper cooling, failure to turn on, refrigerant leaks, and unusual noises.
