"I highly recommend this company for granite repair. They promptly responded to my request and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. They arrived on time, were extremely professional, and repaired my granite countertop so flawlessly that you can’t even tell where the crack had been. The pricing was very reasonable, and the quality of the workmanship was pristine. Reliable, skilled, and highly professional from start to finish."

"Sergii was very professional, flexible, communicated well, and was able to pull off my vision for a black marble fireplace without cracking a single piece of tile. He was also able to see and fix problems from previous renovated areas of the project so that installation would be safe and last. He was very upfront about cost and let me know about the price of materials before starting his work. And he kept his work area very CLEAN!! I was overall very impressed with his expertise, Iâ d recommend him to anyone."

"I requested assistance Friday morning to have the backsplash removed in my new home prior to painters and restoration coming in Monday morning. They responded immediately. Although booked solid for the next two weeks, they had a window of time that afternoon. I was very impressed with Brandon's knowledge on a variety of construction things. He was super professional and helpful. They were able to remove a couple base cabinets the cabinet refacer was having trouble removing as well. I was very pleased with BSM Services!"

"

We had the pleasure of hiring Nicholas Tile & Bath do renovate our hideously outdated master bath in the home we recently purchased.  Although we had a general idea of what we wanted to do, we asked Tom, the owner, to take us by the hand and guide us through the selection of materials and provide us innovative ideas to make our bath handicap accessible.  We are glad we did!  Tom has an extensive knowledge about the products and products lines available.  His terrific solutions maximized the usage of the bath’s square footage.  His approach when giving ideas was no-pressure yet very informative.  He gave the positive and negative aspects of all ideas and let us make the decisions.  When he and his crew got to work, they were amazing.  They showed great respect for our property while doing the bath rebuild.  They laid down cloth everywhere they walked protecting our flooring and, at the end of the day, they cleaned their workspace and no one would know they were there.  Their workmanship is impeccable and we are extremely pleased with the end product!  Our renovated master bath is spectacular.  Not only is it beautiful, it is extremely user-friendly.

We give them the HIGHEST recommendation possible!  Giving a company the highest praise is one thing but rehiring the company to do more work is the ultimate recommendation.  And that is exactly what we did.  Tom & his crew reconstructed our second bath and the job they did was equal to the first!  They are great!!  Would we rehire Nicholas Bath & Tile again?  We will.  We plan to have them create a third bathroom for us!  We hold Tom and his crew in VERY high esteem.  Their great reputation is earned.  Hire Nicholas Bath & Tile.  You will be pleased!

"Queen City and associated sub-contractors fabricated and installed our marble kitchen counter tops. I obtained bids / quotes from three separate companies and Queen City was in the middle. Their pricing per sq foot on par with what I expected. I selected QC because their customer service throughout the bidding process was very good, the pricing was reasonable and they were very willing to work with a DIYer. Throughout the process I worked the Teri, Noel, Rafael, Donny and several installers; everyone that I dealt with was extremely courteous and professional. They were responsive to questions, phone calls and texts and easy to work with. The only negatives on the project were that the fabrication and installation process went a little slower than we expected and the stone pattern around one seam didn't turn out quite like we expected (visually); it's not bad, just a little less than we expected. With that said, we still love our new counter tops and I wouldn't hesitate to do business with QC again."

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

Since cesspits must be watertight to prevent leakage and contamination, so they’re typically constructed from one of a few tough materials. Most cesspits are made from fiberglass, concrete, polythene, or steel. Each of these materials carries certain advantages—fiberglass, for example, is resistant to corrosion but may be more prone to cracking if it’s at high capacity.

You should always seal cut countertops to prevent damage and to keep them looking their best. The right way to seal countertops depends on the type of material. For laminate and wood, apply epoxy or other specialty sealers by pouring it onto the countertop and letting it flow across the whole surface to the edges, guiding it with a paint stick or putty knife. You will need to move quickly so that it does not dry or harden before you are done. For stone countertops, use a sealant specially manufactured for your type of stone and apply it according to manufacturer directions.

While quartz is highly stain-resistant, it is not completely stain-proof. Spills, including water, should be wiped up as soon as possible to prevent staining. Minor stains are usually not permanent and can be removed using a quartz-safe cleaner, a simple mixture of dish soap and water, or a baking soda paste applied with a soft microfiber cloth. For severe stains that persist, professional treatment may be necessary, and in rare cases, countertop repair or replacement might be required.

A water-based, low- or no-VOC sealer is typically a good choice for marble countertops. Choose a sealant that is certified safe for contact with food when applying to kitchen countertops. For high-traffic areas, look for formulas that have heat-resistant and acid-resistant features. While there are economical and convenient spray-on sealers, they don’t coat the surface as effectively as the ones you apply with a pad or brush.

The frequency for sealing granite countertops depends on several factors, including the type of sealant used, the color of the granite, and how heavily the countertops are used. As a general guideline, resealing is often recommended every 12 to 18 months, but some sources suggest it could be as often as every few months or at least once a year.

The type of sealant is a major factor: water-based sealants may need reapplication every six months to a year, while more durable solvent-based sealants can last for five to 10 years. Additionally, factors like heavy kitchen traffic, frequent use of acidic cleaners, and lighter granite colors may require more frequent sealing to prevent staining.

To determine if your countertops need resealing, you can perform a simple water test. Place a few drops of water or a wet paper towel on an inconspicuous area of the granite. After 10 to 15 minutes, check the spot. If the water has beaded up, the seal is still intact. If the water has been absorbed and darkened the stone, it's time to apply a new coat of sealant. You can choose to seal the granite yourself or hire a professional to ensure it's done correctly.
