"Andy called me the day after I requested a quote for my AC unit which was not blowing out cold air. He came to my home shortly thereafter, checked the unit, took pictures and showed me what needed to be replaced and also provided different options to fix the issue and keep the cost reasonable. I agreed to his recommendations and he took pictures of what was replaced. The service was fantastic, and it was explained to me where I could totally understand what was done. Great service and awesome service from a great, knowledgeable service man. Thank you Andy! I would recommend your company to all who require an honest, efficient repair!"

"KS Kamara Heating and Air are really doing outstanding jobs from what I saw before I started my project so I decided to use him and very pleased that I did. I had a new new heating/electric AC package unit installed. Kafoumba did an excellent job installing my new unit. Their prices are very reasonable and is a game changer compared to the others. The turn around time was great and everything turned out absolutely great."

"I used Better home pros to clean my air ducts. First of all they did an amazing job and the technician that came was very knowledgeable and respectful, and their pricing was very affordable especially in comparison to other companies who gave me quotes for the work I needed. Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

The size window AC you need depends on the BTU and the size of the room you’re cooling. For a room with 8-foot ceilings, look for about 20 BTU per square foot of the room. For example, a 12-by-12-foot room should have an air conditioner with 2,880 BTU. You can buy something slightly more powerful, but don’t overshoot the BTU for a small room, or you’ll waste energy and have higher bills.

If your AC runs constantly, it could be due to a number of things, including a faulty thermostat, incorrect temperature settings, or broken equipment. Alternatively, you might have an airflow problem (for example, blocked vents or leaky ductwork). Either way, an HVAC pro can identify the specific problem and fix it for you.

High humidity, bad insulation, warmth from sunlight, and poor circulation are all reasons your home’s hotter inside than out. While this is what you want in the colder months, summer can become unbearable if this is a constant. Try to find the cause, but you need to remember that issues like this require a permanent fix (unless you want to bear down during the summer months).

The right type of HVAC system will depend on several factors, including your climate, budget, preferences, and existing HVAC setup. For example, if you live in an area that experiences extreme weather, then a split system would likely be the best option. Or, if budget is a concern, consider installing a ductless system in just one room.

On average, an AC unit lasts between 10 and 20 years. However, the specific lifespan depends on the type of unit, how often it's used, the local climate, and the quality of maintenance. Central AC units typically last 12 to 17 years, while window units have a shorter lifespan of 8 to 10 years. Portable AC units last about 5 to 10 years, and ductless mini-split systems can last up to 20 years. To extend the life of your AC unit, it's important to perform regular maintenance, such as replacing filters, cleaning coils, and scheduling annual professional tune-ups.
