The main reason was to keep Inky my agility dog in the back yard and not visiting the neighbors who put food out to feed crows or taking trips on the golf course to visit the golfers. Inky is young just turned 2 years old in June. First Alex came out to see the property and to meet Inky and the other two tiny tots. We spend over an hour talking about the product which she had in a suitcase/briefcase for use to see how it works. We could even test out the shock that is sent to the dog when the dog crosses into the forbidden area. Then Alex and I took a walk around the back yard. In one week 2 guys came out I was surprised they were going to work in 95 degree heat, but they did. We set up 2 zones. They put white flags around the zone area so that Inky will learn that this is where the line is. Inky can go in the back and if I want her in the front with me while watering the Hydrangeas not a problem she can go their also fully protected by the Fence. The 2 guys taught me how to work Inkys collar which I forgot after they left. But while they were there they taught me to keep her on a leash, all she would hear on the collar was a "tone" to start with. This tone was to teach her to she was entering the forbidden zone. We all walked around the yard, and we all heard the tone when Inky got to close. A week later I though I had set the collar up where she would get a minor correction and there she went out of the backyard. So I went to turn it up again, and there she went again. I called Alex, and told her I have messed up can you come out and help me. She was their within 24 hours. As nice and polite as always. She showed me how to work the collar again, This time I got it. So it went up to a level 3, and there went Inky to visit the neighbors food that she puts out. This time I put the collar up again to level 4. A 4 is Inkys level she gets near it but doesn't go over. Inky is stilling being tested with this. Unfortunately we have a neighbor who puts food out to feed of all things CROWs. Who knows what else she feeds along with the crows, chipmunks, possums but it is not Inky. Not having the yard work to deal with has been a huge relief. It looks better than ever even with our 2 children and 3 dogs using it for their play area! The dogs make it very dificult to maintain good grass since they also use the back yard for their play area and their bathroom!! However, with Rick's attention it has begun to flourish again. His crew is always quick and efficient. They are always careful about not letting our dogs out if they happen to be in the back yard when they begin the work. I have three white Oaks and 2 Red Oaks and several Maples and Beach trees that produce an enormous amount of leaves. Their efficient weekly removal of those leaves has been one of the factors that has helped our grass flourish. We paid to have a professional designer draft us a landscape plan and Rick has helped us to prioritize the plan. Implementing the entire plan would take 20-30K. We have done a little at a time and we are slowly getting it done. Rick has done several of the phases himself and we have been very pleased with his hardscape work as well as the bed and planting phases he has done for us. He has always been very responsive to any inquiry or concern I may have. He takes care of everything immediately, from quoting out specific projects to doing them when he says that he will do them. I think the fact that we went with him for a yearly yard maintenance contract has allowed him to be generous when it comes to implementing additional beds and plantings which has saved us some money with those phases depending on how you look at it. Yes it is a cost that I could not have as I have mowed and maintained my lawn for years. But I was not nearly as efficient or as reliable as they are with mowing, raking, weeding, aerating and seeding so in my opinion that cost is totally worth the effort, time, and reliability anyway. To me, the fact that he does plantings and projects for us more cheaply than if I contracted someone else to only come in and do it is gravy for us and smart for him as I have decided to continue our contract indefinitely because we are very happy with his reliability and service on regular maintence and the extra time has allowed me to devote more time to raising and teaching my children. Plant Watering reviews from real Angi homeowners in Green Level, NC
Piedmont did a great job. They were able to remove the dark streaks on the white gutters, remove rust streaks on the siding, helped moved some plants around, very professional, thoughtful and explained everything they were doing. Also went above and beyond by washing the stone facing and porch.

FAQs for plant watering projects in Green Level, NC
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Lawn irrigation is the process of getting water to your lawn, grass and all, for it to grow. There are five main types of lawn irrigation methods:
Manual irrigation puts you in charge of the flow of water. Using a sprinkler head on your hose is best to evenly distribute the water across your entire lawn. This doesn’t take much time but requires you to be physically outside holding the hose.
Above-ground sprinklers attach to your hose and rotate or oscillate around your lawn. Since these are above-ground, they’ll need to be moved when it’s time to mow, and depending on the size of your property, you might need to move it around your yard for full coverage.
In-ground sprinklers are flush with the ground when not in use but pop up above the ground level when it's time to water the lawn. Piping for these sprinklers is all found underground, and there are different types of sprinkler heads for different uses and lawn sizes.
Drip irrigation involves drip lines that are more efficient than sprinklers for more extensive lawns. This involves a lot of digging since they are installed underground, but it makes it easy for you to mow.
Rainwater collection and irrigation uses nature’s precipitation to water your lawn. This option might not be available in every area since semi-reliable rainfall is needed, though the barrels for this system can range from 15 gallons to 10,000 gallons or more.
The cost of a lawn sprinkler system is $2,550 for the average homeowner. However, this price can range from $350 to $5,000 or more, depending on the type of sprinkler system you install, the size of your yard, and the type of sprinkler heads you choose. For example, rotating or oscillating sprinkler heads are more expensive than stationary ones, making the cost for one sprinkler head $2.50 to $30 each. Likewise, a yard that is 1/4 of an acre in size averages a total average price of $2,460; however, a one-acre yard averages a cost of $9,840.
Landscaping costs around $3,500 but varies widely from $200 to $14,000. Factors that play a part in your final landscaping price tag include:
Location
Yard size
Project size
Materials
Land preparation
Type of landscaping
Considering so many factors, it’s not surprising that the overall costs can differ. A typical landscaping project is flower bed installation, which averages between $800 and $3,000. However, landscape lighting installation is a higher-end project, with a price tag of $2,000 to $6,000.
