He was able to drill through the natural stone to attach the mount to the studs. It turned out absolutely perfectly and he showed me how to make any future adjustments that might be needed. Yes, you can mount a TV on a brick wall. This process may take a little more time and different tools, however. You’ll need to directly drill mounting holes into the bricks using a masonry drill and masonry bits instead of a regular power drill. Masonry drills have the power and design to drill into denser surfaces like brick. Use either plastic anchors or concrete screws to mount your TV. 

Mounting a TV on a brick wall is possible as a DIY project. You will use the same techniques you used for hanging a picture on a brick wall: drilling into the wall and inserting wall anchors. You should drill into the brick instead of the mortar so you have enough support for the weight of the TV wall brackets and the TV.

You will be placing holes in the wall to hang the mounting bracket. If you’re mounting a large TV, the bolts in use could make significant holes around half an inch in diameter.
