"Joe did a really good job replacing a section of our hallway flooring approx. 47 ft x 3 1/2 ft. This was 2 year old Engineered Hardwood flooring improperly installed by our builder which had lifted and buckled in spots. Joe responded quickly, made suggestions on the way to do the work and was quick to complete the project. We highly recommend him for your flooring project"

"Wes and crew were very professional from the start.  They really helped us get an idea of the pros and cons of different hardwoods and which kind would suit our needs.
They showed up on time each day, and were through with the installation in just two days.
The new floor has transformed our house and we couldn't be happier.  It has made such
a huge difference that now we are thinking of continuing it throughout more rooms in the house.
We were really impressed with their knowledge and their pace of work, these guys did not waste any time getting the job done quickly and efficiently.
Overall, Mountain Made Flooring was easy to communicate with, offered very reasonable
and competitive pricing on their installation and floors, and were a pleasure to
hire for the installation.  We would highly recommend them."

Carpet Stretching questions, answered by experts

The correct method to fix bubbling carpet depends on the cause. If the bubbles are caused by moisture, drying out the carpet can help flatten it. Otherwise, a pro might need to restretch or reinstall the carpet to fix the issue.

If you want to save money on carpet repairs, there are a few ways to save without sacrificing quality. Some options you have include:

  • Cleaning set-in stains by renting a steam cleaner or using DIY carpet cleaning methods

  • Prepare the area for repairing yourself, such as moving furniture, to avoid unnecessary fees.

  • Protect high-traffic areas with a runner rug to avoid excessive wear and tear.

Steam cleaning is the best way to clean a carpet to enhance the color and texture of the fibers. You can either rent a steam cleaner and clean the carpet yourself or hire a local carpet cleaning team for a more thorough pass.

Yes, you can revive carpet that’s flattened using household items like an ice cube and stiff brush, a damp cloth and an iron, baking soda and vinegar, and shaving cream. If you want to go all-out, visit a local home improvement store and buy a carpet rake, too. Depending on the state of your carpet, you may need to use more than one of these methods to see results. Keep in mind that you might need to repeat a reviving method more than once.

The best solvent for removing carpet glue depends on its chemical composition. Most carpet glue reacts well to a solvent made from orange oil. Use mineral spirits to remove tar-based glue, which has a darker, brownish tint. Methylene chloride paint stripper and lacquer thinner should also work, but beware of the nasty and dangerous fumes.
