As for my punctuality and quality, my Angie's List reviews in prior to this review show that this is out of character for me. The job was done in a timely and professional manner and to your satisfaction. When you called to schedule the job, you suggested that I agree to a price of $500.00 and I told you at that time that it didn't sound correct, and I would check my notes. Over five months, several phone calls, two visits in your home to estimate, and several person to person conversations I feel you must misunderstood, as the installation of the laminate alone was approx. $500.00. I gave you a bill with the breakdown of what you were charged. Thank you for your business and your review."

"Mr. [Member Name Removed], I am grateful for your compliments on my work. I appreciate your willingness to share your feelings about this job. I would like to clarify from my perspective. Our first problem arose when you brought a 600 lb roll of carpet into the basement. If you had left it at the dock, I would have been able to easily make the cuts before I brought them to you. Because of this, the cuts needed to be made by hauling the carpet out into the lawn from the basement. The rain prevented me from being able to haul the carpet into the lawn to cut. It rained the day we started the job and for two days subsequently. As for the disposal of your scrap material, normally when carpet is bought from a local source, the scraps can be taken back to their dumpster. In this case, you brought it direct, meaning there is no dumpster. When I deliver the material, my normal dump fee is $50. The $100 charge that you mentioned, I reduced from my normal price, which I had informed you before I began the work, was my price for doing the preliminary clean up work (pad and staples stuck to floors and stairs) that we had agreed you would do before I arrived. My punctuality is not in question. I cannot roll carpet on a wet lawn. I actually rearranged my schedule and put other customers aside to get the work done on the first dry day.
