"As always Mr. Junior and team did a top notch job. Not only do the walls and ceilings look amazing but he left the room cleaner than when he arrived. I'm always impressed by the care he and his team take to prep the worksite and clean up after they are finished. This is not my first time using Mr. Junior's services and it won't be the last."

"I had a "painter" attempt to paint an accent wall where my flat screen tv and fireplace are. Long story short it was a disaster! Sometimes you get what you pay for. I kicked him out of my house and promptly started looking for someone to fix his mess. Dave came to my house and after a short chuckle explained how to properly paint the color red. He also explained to me in depth what he was going to do to correct the paint spills on the mantle and chipping paint on the slate fireplace. After noticing that he was a professional I asked him to paint several other walls a completely different color. I was relieved to see that his men moved the furniture and didn't spill any paint like the previous so called "painter" did. The quality of work his men produce go further than just a coat of paint. When I walk into my house now I feel like its brand new. I will be calling dave back in a few months to continue this project to the upstairs of my home. I highly recommend Dave and his employee's.

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

When installing new steel doors, it’s smart to do other projects simultaneously. This can lower costs, limit mess, and help your home look and function better. For example, replacing a damaged doorframe is wise when planning door installations.

Also consider changing broken or worn-out locks, repairing or replacing weather stripping, and updating handles. Painting, staining, or upgrading the trim around the door can also improve energy efficiency, security, and aesthetics.

One of the biggest downsides to peel-and-stick wallpaper is that it doesn't last as long as traditional wallpaper. Its lifespan depends on several factors, including the quality of the paper, proper wall preparation and application, and the room's conditions. As a general rule, peel-and-stick wallpaper can last for at least five years, but this can vary significantly. Budget products may only last about 3 years, while higher-quality products can stay up for 7 years or more in ideal conditions. Factors that can shorten its lifespan include high humidity (such as in a bathroom), dirty walls, and low-quality paper. If used on flooring, expect it to last only 1 to 3 years unless sealed. However, the shorter lifespan can be seen as a positive, making it a great choice for people who enjoy switching up their interiors more frequently.

If you can already see the texture of the existing wallpaper through the layer of paint, then the texture could also come through the new layer of wallpaper. If that’s the aesthetic you want, then proceed. But if you want a smoother surface, you should either strip off the existing paint and wallpaper or hang a layer of liner paper before proceeding.

To determine how many rolls of peel-and-stick wallpaper you need, measure the square footage of the walls you’re covering and divide that by the square footage that each roll covers. Add 10% to 20% of your total square footage to account for pattern matching or damage while installing.

You shouldn’t need extra adhesive for peel-and-stick backsplash tile. The adhesive on the back of the tile sheets should do the trick. However, if you experience issues with the tile peeling or falling off, make sure the wall you’re working on isn’t textured, as that can prevent the materials from properly adhering.
