"Amazing service, on time and very respectful. He assembled a trampoline in no time. My husband would have taken several days and been extremely frustrated. He cleaned up and just left everything perfect. My granddaughter is one happy 6 year old. I will definitely be utilizing his services again."

"Richie provided us with great service in a situation where we really needed it. Our long-term HVAC contractor told us on the day we needed them to do a repair on a 90+-degree day that they were no longer servicing businesses, despite the fact that we had an existing service agreement with months left on it. Air Serv sent Richie out that day and he completed the repair to get our medical office back on track for our patients' and employees' as well as tenants' comfort."

"Chris was the technician that came out and did a wonderful job very informative. The unit was low on freon and while we were looking at the unit fan motor went out and he was able to get a new one next day. He vacuumed the unit out of all the leaves and clean the fins and then actually put away some of my tools and hoses. Chris went above and beyond I would highly recommend."

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

The cost to hire a pest control specialist varies depending on the type of infestation. For example, the cost to exterminate spiders averages from $100 to $300. Other pest control costs include:

  • Ants: $100–$500

  • Bed bugs: $350–$5,000

  • Cockroaches: $100–$600

  • Fleas: $150–$400

  • Rodents: $180–$600

  • Wasps: $100–$1,300

  • Mosquitos: $70–$500

  • Bats: $230–$700

  • Beehives: $75–$1,500

  • Termites: $230–$2,500

  • Snakes: $130–$600

  • Armadillos: $50–$500

To keep wasps away from your home, you can consult with an exterminator about preventative measures and potential follow-up visits. For a non-lethal approach, consider installing a fake wasp nest, as this can deter wasps from building their own nearby. You can also use natural repellents. Wasps dislike the smell of substances like coffee grounds, cinnamon, and vinegar. Additionally, planting certain plants in your garden or in pots near doors can help repel them; these include eucalyptus, peppermint, lemongrass, and basil.

A flea can live as long as 100 days when it has a live host to feed on. They tend to live a much shorter life when they’re on a short-haired dog or cat versus a pet with longer hair. Without a host, fleas will typically only survive for about one to two weeks.

Exterminators can get rid of your current ant problem, but they won’t prevent ants from coming back. So it’s important to implement ant preventatives to avoid future infestations.

The primary reason ants enter your home is to find food. If they can’t find any, they won’t survive. So, the most effective way to prevent ant infestations is to clean, clean, and clean some more.

Keep your kitchen sparkling and wash your dishes immediately (or at least give them a quick rinse and wash off leftover food). Take out your garbage and compost as often as possible and tightly seal all your kitchen containers, especially the mason jars you use to hold your sugar—sugar is gold to ants.

You can also hire a local handyperson to help you prevent future ant infestations. The handyman can seal cracks and fix leaks throughout your home, which will keep any ants from entering.

Professional wasp removal methods vary depending on the wasp species, nest location, and the severity of the infestation. Professionals use a range of techniques, including high-grade insecticides, pesticides, aerosols, insecticidal dust, liquids, and vacuuming. After exterminating the wasps, the technician will remove the active nest to prevent re-infestation. For a major or pervasive wasp problem, it is recommended to hire a professional to handle the issue safely and avoid painful stings.
