Customers say: Quality work

"It takes a lot to impress me, but Triangle Energy Solutions did! They were absolutely outstanding, and I highly recommend them. I've had poor to bad experiences with some companies in the past. I only have excellent things to report about this company. If you have any electrical job, hire them. You'll be very glad you did."

"The AC unit worked like a champ.  When we switched to heating in the fall, the heating unit would shut off after starting.  After several visits, Jacques, the maintenance supervisor, determined that a smaller diameter exhaust pipe had been initially been installed.  Jacques supervised the replacement with a larger diameter exhaust pipe which eliminated the back pressure problem that was triggering the shutdown with the smaller diameter exhaust pipe.  Alpine was completely responsive and professional in their servicing of my situation.  Also, the initial defective thermostat was replaced free of charge.  Alpine wanted to make sure I was a satisfied customer with the new units."

"CMC was very communicative up front and sent Martin out within days of my request. Martin installed an electrical outlet and light with a switch in my hall closet. He also quoted prices for additional projects in the house to do at a later time. Martin was friendly and clearly explained everything he needed to do. I’ll ask for him again next time!"

"Repaired one ceiling light - did a great job, quickly diagnosing and repairing the problem. Replaced an old ceiling fan with a new one. Worked very efficiently and were helpful in showing us what they had done. Will definitely hire them again."

"Pat and his team at Integrated Systems of the Triangle have been doing all of our HVAC and electrical for several years now.  We build high end custom homes and small commercial projects in our area and have always been satisfied with Pat's level of service, professionalism, and overall quality of work.  Pat's team also did the HVAC and electrical in our new personal home and we could not be more pleased.  They are most certainly a contractor you would want to call on.

"I called them for the electrical, based on getting them off of Angie's List. While I was talking to them, they said they also had this deal on checking out my air conditioning and heating system and I said well I needed to have that done anyway. It turned out it wasn't the same person. It was a different person that came to check out the heating and air system than the electrician that I hired.

I thought it was very expensive. The guy was here a good part of the day. He had to hang 2 ceiling fans and redo the lights on the wall in the bathroom. He replaced another ceiling light fixture. So he was here probably 5 or 6 hours but I was surprised how much it cost.

They were pretty reliable, I would just shop around on the price a little bit. They were responsive when I called. Set up an appointment promptly and came when they said they were gonna be here. They did what they said what they were going to do. I haven't had to have them come back to redo anything that they did. Which is a good sign to me. They cleaned up. "

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

The number of blades for your fan poses both advantages and disadvantages. Typically, the more blades on a fan, the better the air distribution and cooling effect, but this also means that your fan will have more wear on its motor. For small rooms, three-blade fans should work fine. For larger areas like living rooms, four or five-blade fans might be the better option.

Keeping dust off fans can keep them working optimally and help keep dust mites or bacteria from building up. Dust fans weekly with a duster, microfiber cloth, old pillowcase, or vacuum attachment. You can also try spraying a clean fan with a store-bought dust-repellent product or making a DIY dust-repellent with water and a small amount of liquid fabric softener mixed in.

If you’re replacing an old fixture with a ceiling fan, you usually won’t need a permit, but if your electrician runs new wiring for the fixture, you likely will need a permit. Building permits are necessary in most municipalities if you’re making changes to your electrical system, so even if you have partial wiring run to the area and need new wiring installed for added functionality, you’ll probably need a permit. Your electrician should be able to let you know if you need one, and they’ll typically file the paperwork for you.

Identifying the source of noises is your first step to soundproofing a room without overspending. Generally, sound comes from inside or outside of the house. Inside noises include creaking floors, living noises like TVs in the living room, cooking sounds, or kids being kids. External noises generally include incremental weather, disturbing neighbors, and street traffic. Inside noises require you to soundproof floors, ceilings, and doors, whereas outside noises may require you to soundproof your attic, windows, and walls facing the streets.

In short, no. You can use the square footage range chart in this article to determine the right size ceiling fan for both indoor and outdoor spaces. However, weather elements can damage types of ceiling fans that aren't designed for outdoor use, so your ceiling fan should be weather-resistant if you plan to install it outside.
