He quickly sized up the issue - which was flooding within one of our irrigation valve boxes - and suggested a course of action, which didn't involve spending a lot of money to fix things that didn't need fixing. Because he wasn't convinced that there was in fact a leak, he suggested holding off and keeping an eye on the situation rather than immediately digging up our yard to find something that may not have been there. In addition to the flooded valve box, I requested that he take a look at one of my problematic sprinkler heads, which he quickly cleaned out and replaced a portion of.
