"FANTASTIC!! When I purchased my home there was an older irrigation system in place and it was only doing a fair job watering the lawn and bushes. Travis, Service Technician, did a terrific job locating & repairing irrigation heads that had been in the ground a long time and making adjustments to the system to insure proper water coverage. Also, Travis discovered defective valves that were creating issues with my irrigation system and he will be replacing them. If you’re wondering whether grass seed will germinate on top of soil, the answer is yes. In fact, it’s the best way to plant your grass seed. Spread seeds in an even layer on top of loose, fertile soil will allow them to germinate and grow strong roots. Topping them with a thin layer of straw will help them retain moisture and stay put, as well as protect them from getting eaten by animals.

Technically no, but they can look very similar and people often refer to the weedy grasses interchangeably. However, several differences keep these species separate. Crabgrass is often a darker color than carpetgrass and tends to sprout much earlier in spring.
