I come from a family of builders, developers, remodelers, electricians, appraisers, realtors, and many other trades in the building industry. My father, who taught me the trades, is a master developer, architect, designer, and builder. He has some of the highest-selling properties in my hometown in California. I grew up working alongside him and other family members framing, building new houses, and renovating old ones. I have served in the military for 18 years and throughout my service I made extra money for my family by buying and renovating properties. Working in both renovations and new construction has allowed me to do almost all aspects of construction, home repair, renovation, structural re-engineering, and design. Due to my background, I see and approach projects from an aesthetic, builders, and renovators mindset. This allows me to find ways to make any ideas or projects you have in mind come to life for an affordable price whereas others will simply tell you what they can or can’t do based on convenience and not desired outcome. I am a builder who can do everything from the ground up, which saves you significant time and money because I can complete a project autonomously without the need for multiple subcontractors. If I don’t have experience in something unique you’d like to build I am willing to learn and figure it out as I go. I love designing and building beautiful homes and tackling difficult projects that take complex problem-solving to complete. I have three sons, whom I love and cherish with all my heart. I love being a father and have been extremely thankful to have been able to build my sons' halfpipes, obstacle courses, tree forts, and, currently, an indoor climatized basketball/sports gymnasium, or Barnasium, as we have been calling it. I love discussing and thinking through creative projects and solutions of any kind so if you have any ideas or projects you've been thinking about, call me and let's brainstorm and talk.

Rex and his staff are professional, responsive to questions, sends photos as work progresses , and often has creative suggestions to enhance the projects. One difficult project was undertaken to prevent flooding on ground floor after severe storms. The creative solution was to raise the lower level floor height with 6 inches of concrete. Then new tile floor was added, ceiling ductwork moved to comply with code, and exterior door replaced. Doors were retro fitted, mechanics moved, and powder bath remodeled to fit change in floor. This action solved the problem of repeated water intrusion in the house. We are very pleased with Patterson Construction."

They could have easily said it wasn't their responsibility to help me retrieve the money, but they didn't. They created a loyal customer as a result. And the work quality was second to none. I got quotes from two other providers but theirs was the best in terms of scope definition and price. The only thing I would like to see is more responsive comms, but I also understand how hard it is to balance "front office" work with the project work for a small business. And David works 7 days a week. If he makes a project commitment, he keeps it. They are delightful people who I am looking forward to working with again."
