"Brad was very personable and thorough with his explanation of how the system worked. I appreciated that he took the time to explain how exactly the system worked for our home. I felt he really listened to what our specific needs were and that it was for the long-term. We had been given a quote of $5,900.00 to clean our A/C and ductwork, and we weren't told it was just a short term solution. We actually wound up saving money, and for that, I am especially thankful. Customer service is very important to us and we look forward to working with your company for many years to come. Will we recommend your service? Absolutely! Many thanks from Marge and Roger Lessard."

"Jimmie was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Of the estimates and recommendations I received for mold remediation in my crawlspace, I thought Jimmie's approach seemed the most logical and thorough. Pricing was fair, and the service was prompt with regular communication from him and his team about progress and next steps. He even performed an extra preventative measure that wasn't included in the estimate. I highly recommend this company."

"John was always prompt in returning my messages and phone calls... He scheduled the work quickly (within a week)  as I requested after we had some steps replaced and needed the walkways done to tie it all together.  He came out to discuss the project scope and wanted to be sure he understood exactly what I wanted done -- but he had even better suggestions which in the long run, were completely the right thing to do.  We had an existing concrete walkway that had cracked sections that were replaced, and where we widened our front steps, we needed to add additional walkway to tie them together.  They made it go together seamlessly and graded the slope perfectly, so rain runoff and drainage would never be an issue. This was a concern of mine because the two walkway sections to be connected were considerably different elevations.  Then an additional cross walk was added to lead out to the front yard with a radius landing pad off the staircase. This also had to be excavated to slope correctly and drain properly since it was replacing an old brick pathway that had been there for 25+ years... John asked questions to ensure he knew exactly what we were looking for - and then he and his crew made it happen.  They scheduled the work quickly and kept to the schedule.  He communicated effectively if he had any question or concern about any aspect of the work.  The crew worked professionally and cleaned up meticulously as they completed each day of work.  I originally purchased the "package deal" but I knew that the scope of the work would exceed the package deal price.  The quoted pricing for the additional work was certainly reasonable, the speed of completion on the project was unexpected, and the finished work was just as I had envisioned wanting it to look ... an outstanding experience - start to finish.   I have nothing but positive things to say about this experience and plan to use them again for future projects since I also found out they do other things besides concrete work.

Lead Testing and Removal questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on the number of samples, testing method, lab fees, and whether on-site inspections are required.

A professional indoor air quality inspection takes anywhere from one to three hours, depending on the size of your home and the number of necessary samples. After the test, the specialist will discuss the findings, but you won’t get a full written report for 2 to 10 days, though you can ask your pro to expedite the process, if needed.

Hiring a professional for mold and toxic material testing ensures precise identification of harmful substances within a home. Professionals utilize specialized equipment and techniques, providing accurate results that inform proper removal strategies, safeguarding occupant health.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

You should ask a few questions to ensure that your potential lead removal professional is experienced and qualified to handle lead-paint abatement safely, legally, and properly.

  • What are your qualifications and experience removing lead-based paint?

  • Are you licensed and certified to remove lead-based paint?

  • How do you test for lead paint?

  • What methods do you use for lead-based paint abatement?

  • What do you plan to do with the hazardous material when you remove it from the home?

  • Do you do replacement and painting work or removal only?
