"Joe did a really good job replacing a section of our hallway flooring approx. 47 ft x 3 1/2 ft. This was 2 year old Engineered Hardwood flooring improperly installed by our builder which had lifted and buckled in spots. Joe responded quickly, made suggestions on the way to do the work and was quick to complete the project. We highly recommend him for your flooring project"

"The professionalism and quality of work deserve top ratings across the board. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the new look of our new hardwood floors, and we look forward to years of enjoyment from a great decision to pull the trigger on this. The company took care of our needs and made sure that we were comfortable every step of the way. The team was prompt, communicative, and very knowledgeable (not to mention funny).

Wes, Mikey, and the rest of the team at Mountain Made Flooring, thanks a million. We'll be sure to give you a call when we do the upstairs carpet."

"He was wonderful and the pricing was reasonable.  My husband went online and there was some kind of service where people would call you back with an estimate.  He called back and he came out right away. He is a real go-getter.  He drove all the way over here and stopped at the house and looked at it.  He gave us some ideas; we wanted something creative and he gave us something unusual.  We have a backsplash like nobody else has.  It is just beautiful and we really love it."

"I ordered the flooring from the home improvement store and called them to install it. That company itself was unable to do it, but they had somebody that they had worked with before do it. I thought their performance was excellent. They were very responsive. They came out and measured. They did a good job. They seemed to be very honest with me. I would use them in the future if I had floors to install."

"We called Henry Villafranca to look at doing some painting, but we ended up having him take over our whole remodel, including- painting the entire interior and exterior, new siding, deck repair, new railing, demolition of some outbuildings, demolition of interior cabinets, new tile, new kitchen backsplash, repair/rerock of fireplace, tons of drywall repair, scraping of popcorn ceilings, carpentry work, new window install for the entire home, tree removal, new gravel, grading of hillside, rock around planters, and probably more that I am forgetting! They showed up, worked long hours to get the job done, did fantastic work, and all workers were very polite and kind. Would definitely recommend Henry's team to anyone!!"

Carpet Stretching questions, answered by experts

Your room doesn’t need to be completely empty to restretch a carpet, but you’ll need enough space that you can move around furniture to access the wrinkled areas and the wall where you’re reattaching the carpet. A contractor will move your furniture out of the way before they start the job, but you can save money by moving your furniture before they arrive.

Patching your carpet in damaged areas or using an industry-grade cleaner on urine spots can help remove stains and scents from your carpet. If odors linger, leave baking soda on the area overnight (dry), then vacuum it up in the morning.

The answer depends on the size of the problem. If the carpet damage is small, then you or a pro can fix it with a carpet patch. This commonly includes things like burn marks from fireplaces or small holes from furniture snagging on it.

Other times, replacing the carpet rather than repairing it is best. For example, if you have large, worn sections, water damage, or can’t get rid of a strong odor, it may be time for a replacement. Carpet removal costs average $180 plus the cost of new carpet installation.

Yes, carpets should be replaced after a house fire or significant smoke damage, even if they appear undamaged. Smoke, soot, particulates, and chemicals can penetrate deep into the carpet fibers and padding, making complete removal a complicated and time-consuming process. If water was used to extinguish the fire, it can also soak through the carpet and padding, creating a risk of mold and mildew growth. Due to these challenges and potential health risks, replacing the carpet is the safest and most effective solution.

It’s best to have a pro stretch your carpet before having it cleaned. A loose carpet is more difficult to clean, but a stretched carpet will be fixed firmly in place once the job is done. Cleaning a carpet can loosen it depending on the technique used.
