"We were impressed with Markus, AJ, and their team! They got us scheduled quickly and had our roof finished within 6 hours! It was all done and cleaned up before I got home from work! We also received progress reports and photos which made everything very transparent. Their crew did a great job and we appreciated the thorough prep and cleanup, especially with a little one running around the yard :) Thank you HomeGenius for a good experience!"

"We hired Draft King Insulation to install spray foam insulation in our attic after meeting with Ben at our home, receiving their estimate, and checking their reviews. "Did not do work, but pricing was competitive with everyone else.  Invoice got lost in junk e-mail, so did not think I ever received invoice, but I found it a month or so after job was completed again.  If\when I have another job will call All Foam and make sure Invoice doesn't get lost in junk e-mail!

"After buying our house I noticed a musty, old house smell and since I have very bad allergies to dust we decided to have our air ducts cleaned. I did my research and found Coit listed on the NADCA website,s o I gave them a call. The receptionist was very knowledgeable and talked me through the whole process. The workers came and were professional and respectful while working. They cleaned a TON of dust, hair, dirt and whatever else was hanging out in the air ducts for the past 50+ years. It has eliminated the old house smell and my allergies have improved greatly. I would highly recommend Coit to clean air ducts to anyone. They gave me a price beforehand and stuck to that price. They did not try to sell me anything I did not need. However, my one little complaint is that I found black soot particles on everything in my living/dining room. It was a mistake one of the workers made while using the vacuum in the air ducts. I called, talked to the owner and they sent someone out immediately to clean. Overall, I couldn't be happier with Coit and the end result. Everyone I talked to at Coit was helpful, knowledgeable and honest.

Insulation questions, answered by experts

The most affordable way to insulate behind unfinished walls is to install fiberglass batts or rolls. These total around $0.75 per linear foot, with the width matching the gaps between standard studs perfectly. However, it’s important to consider the R-value of your insulation and the climate in your area, as fiberglass insulation isn’t the best in terms of preventing heat transfer. Plus, the most affordable option may cost more on electricity bills over time. The most affordable way to insulate behind finished walls is to leave them up and use blown-in insulation to avoid drywall replacement.

Yes, insulating your pipes can reduce plumbing noises because it dampens vibrations and reduces the transmission of sound, making your home a quieter place. So if you've ever been annoyed by the sounds of water rushing through your pipes or the clanging noises when someone turns on the faucet, insulation can help.

A dehumidifier can reduce condensation on your ductwork by lowering humidity levels in the air. Condensation occurs when humid, warm air makes contact with cold ducts. A dehumidifier can help maintain your home's indoor humidity below or around 50%, minimizing moisture buildup. However, if condensation is caused by leaks, cracks, or other damage, a dehumidifier won’t solve the problem.

You do not need to drywall over most types of garage insulation. However, doing so can increase noise reduction, make the space more attractive, and keep children and pets from touching harmful fiberglass insulation. If you’re using cellulose or some other type of blown-in insulation (fiberglass and mineral wool are common), you will need drywall to contain the insulation material.

Yes, doggie doors, like all entrances, can let both hot and cold air into your home. However, as with any door in your house, you can take steps to weather-strip your pet's entrance to prevent air leaks.
