Company did not show up for the appointment they set to give an estimate. I called and the person claimed to have called me to reschedule (there was no voicemail or missed call from them) and sent a message "through the app" (which I do not have) and that they had received complaints that folks were not getting messages through the app. I asked her if she had my email, which she said she did. I then asked her if she knew they were having issues with the app that she did not just send an email. I told her I had left work to meet her and if the situation was reversed, I thought she would be frustrated too. She then said that they were not going to reschedule. I asked why, she said "we are too busy". I then asked if she was too busy, why did she make the appointment to begin with. Her reply was "We're done. Good luck finding someone" and then hung up on me.

I had very specific concerns when hiring a roofer: price, quality, insured, timeliness, professional, and clean up when finished. Philip Oliver and his hard working crew exceeded my expectations in all those categories. I have a 100 year old house and I wanted a new metal roof. I searched angies list and better business bureau thoroughly, read all reviews and decided to give Tried and True a call. He returned my call in minutes and came out the same day to inspect and measure my roof. He answered all my questions and gave me a quote on the spot. I have a pretty complicated roof with alot of cuts and angles and it's pretty steep. So I was surprised with the quote he gave me. He was very fair and reasonably priced. I knew instantly after speaking with him I was going to hire him to do the job. His crew was incredibly hard working and professional. It took a few days but they worked around alot of rain to get my roof finished. My house looks completely different now. It's beautiful. They made this 100 year old house look youthful again. They cleaned up and took a magnet all the way around to make sure I wouldn't get a flat tire (which I appreciate tremendously). I am completely happy with the quality of their work. Alot of people knew I was planning on a new roof this year and I tell all of them how happy I am and recommend them to everyone. Someone even drove by my house and stopped in the middle of the road to tell me how amazing my roof looked. If you're trying to decide on a roofer, give Phil a call. You won't be disappointed 😊

Owner Ricky Stroup was infinitely patient with us, as after our initial meeting it took us over a year to hire his company to do this work. During that year, we had multiple conversations with him regarding the scope of our project, and he was as willing to contract the scope as to expand it. He wrote several proposals for us, so we could see the financial impacts of our different scope options. Our indecision on scope, and delay in scheduling, never caused any frustration or ill will on his part. Mr. Stroup was helpful, friendly, and patient throughout! His team installed everything in one day, and all who worked on our project were extremely courteous and professional. We have been very impressed with the quality of the work. My 1949 chimney had lots of disintegrating mortar joints. No known water leaks yet, but I wanted to prevent that. The company seems professional & reliable. Very nice folks to work with. Kept me in touch on schedule & arrival time. Would hire again. I have to presume the repair job is correct; it looks good. Price was reasonable--in between an ultra-high "rebuild the whole thing" quote and a low ball quote from someone who never followed up.

BCI was able to give us a competitive quote to install a standing seam metal roof; Confidence in money deposited for work to be done; Understanding of the advantages of metal; Scheduling was successful dependent on weather and COVID; Installing of roofing was done about a week; Cleanup of area daily was good to end of job cleanup. Crew was friendly and responsive. Was able to perform visual inspections personally. Will update as time progresses on any future issues and followup by BCI addressing those issues. Right now all looks good. Amount spent for new roof - $28K
