"They were on time, very professional, did an excellent job. the carpet looks great. we hadn't had it cleaned for quite awhile, and it looks like new. It didn't take long at all. they also gave us the senior discount. Thank you DJ and Don."

"His price for the Job seemed very good, but more money was added from the original estimate, making the total cost not quite as good. Still his cost may be slightly less than other plumber are asking. I rehired him for a second small job, which he was 45 minutes late for, and again the price increased from the original estimate. The Job took ten Minute. it was a plumbing re-route. He has trouble with his computer invoices, so watch that carefully. Make sure your original agreement, from the estimate is firm!"

"Joey does fantastic work - He's a guy who really knows his business. He pruned and trimmed my birch and two ash trees (all three huge, 30-year-old trees). He was great at explaining the how and why of what he was doing. I've already hired him to do some more work for me. I highly recommend him!"

"Steven is a hard worker but I would not hire again due to the fact he had cut our 220 wire leading to our bathroom heater. Steven did not inform us that it was cut. When the weather turned colder we tried to use the heater. We called our regular electrician and he informed us the wire had been cut during the bathtub installation."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

To make a small bathroom look bigger, choose light-colored tiles in a medium- to large-format size. Lighter colors like white, cream, or light gray help open up a room, making it feel larger and more airy. While it may seem counterintuitive, small tiles can actually make a bathroom look smaller because the increased number of grout lines creates a busy pattern that visually shrinks the space. Instead, opt for medium- or large-format tiles for a more seamless, expansive appearance. For the best effect, pair your tiles with a matching or similarly colored grout to create a continuous surface that enhances the illusion of a larger area. Avoid dark colors, heavy patterns, and contrasting grout, as these can make the space feel more confined.

How long painted tiles last ultimately comes down to the quality of the paint job and how much wear and tear the tiles get. It’s possible the paint job will only last about six months if the tiles are in a high-traffic area and they weren’t properly cleaned, sanded, and primed prior to painting and sealing. Well-painted tiles in a low-traffic area should last at least a year.

Options include clay, concrete, and slate tiles. Each offers unique durability, aesthetics, and costs.

Different types of tile cutters may work best depending on the type of tile you are cutting and the size of your project. There are two main types of tile cutters: manual and electric. Manual tile cutters are quick and easy to use for small projects and softer tile materials, but they can only make straight cuts. Electric tile cutters make light work of big projects and can cut through harder materials.

For best results, you should remove the toilet in a bathroom before removing tile or installing new tile. If you don’t remove the toilet, it will be harder to fully waterproof the tile around the toilet, which could increase the risk of mold growth or plumbing leaks. If you have trouble removing the toilet, hire a plumber to help.
