In June 1994 Ernie retired from the sprinkler business as well and his eldest son, Tim, took over working in the business. After college, they took all the good and the bad they learned along the way to create Alta. The owners are brothers who were taught honesty, hard work, and serving others by their parents. "This company is horrible. They talked my dad into a contract promised him the world, then didn't do what they said. He tried to call them about it but couldn't get through. He went to the bank and had them cancel the payment. Visa investigated and determined that Alta was in the wrong so Alta threatened him with collections of the full contract, so he paid. Please avoid them. They also delete bad reviews in Google. The sales person put his wrong name, wrong address and created a fake email for the contract to go to. My dad only owns a mobile phone. The office when we called to complain didn't care."

Rat poison that contains an anticoagulant like warfarin can cause bleeding, chills, confusion, extreme fatigue, headache, convulsions, lightheadedness, and seizures. Anticoagulants prevent your blood from forming clots, which can result in uncontrolled bleeding both internally and externally. Other types of rat poison that aren't anticoagulants attack your liver, kidneys, and digestive system. They can suppress your breathing and heart rate, causing low blood oxygen and poor circulation. Burning in your throat and gastric discomfort are common symptoms.

It can be difficult to know what type of animal is in your attic until you see it. But several clues can help you narrow down the suspects:

  • Sounds: Smaller animals like rats and mice make scurrying and tapping/gnawing sounds. Larger animals like raccoons and opossums make louder clambering noises. Also, note when animals are noisy: Squirrels are active during the day, while rats are busiest at night.
