"I recently had 5 windows replaced. I believe it was almost 4 months from measurement, build and install. A crew of 3 guys checked out their work areas, then started laying out flooring protection and got to work. the 5 windows took roughly 7 hrs from showing up to leaving. They vacuumed the rooms they worked in and cleaned up thoroughly The windows are beautiful. The screens are barely visible. I only replaced my worst windows. You could barely see thru them. I'm very happy with the product and the installers."

"I was on the market for a security system and this one seemed easy enough to install.......went through the process and some of the window sensors were not working. I called Customer Support who was very friendly and we went through the entire process again...this time other window sensors did not work. This went on for a week or so...then the door senors stopped working....than the motion sensor stopped working...at no time in over a month did I have a fully operational security system. As I was about to return the system I was told they have "new" sensors and they just realized they received a bad batch and are working with another company.....Gave it a try....and same issue returned....some sensors worked....some didn't. I finally returned the system and stopped getting emails.....only to find that they were still billing my credit card even after I returned the equipment. Very nice people and very understanding.....unfortunately their product is not up to par. While we do have a large home, it's an open concept and the sensors that weren't working were no more than 15ft away from the base. The previous owners of my house had a wireless system with no issues at all.....I'm going to be using that company going forward."

The blowing technique used to create windows in homes dating back to the 1700s, 1800s, and early 1900s left behind small bubbles that create a wavy effect. If a glass window is functional, there's no need to consider wavy glass damaged. In fact, many homeowners prefer the old charm of wavy glass.

Yes. Vinyl windows have a PVC frame that wraps around a glass panel that is usually made up of two thinner glass panels separated by an insulating, noise-absorbing airspace. Some vinyl windows are triple-glazed, with three insulating air panels within them. This glass helps keep your interior quiet from outside noise while its insulating qualities help your space stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

There is no blanket number when it comes to glass thickness for soundproofing. Thicker glass does help reduce noise, but it’s only part of the solution. Most single-pane windows use glass that’s ⅛” to ¼” thick. While increasing the thickness can cut down on sound, the real noise-blocking power comes from stacking layers. Storm door panels are typically made from tempered or laminated glass, and each type has its benefits. Tempered glass goes through a special heating and cooling process, increasing its strength and durability. It’s known for its safety features—when it breaks, it shatters into small, relatively harmless pieces rather than sharp shards. Laminated glass is made by sandwiching a layer of plastic between two layers of glass. This interlayer holds the glass pieces together even when shattered, preventing them from scattering.
