"Had an excellent experience with NA Tree Service. Nathan came to the house to provide an estimate for the work to be done, and he came back the next day and completed the tree removal project in an efficient, timely matter and at a reasonable cost for the work done. Would recommend NA Tree Service for any tree work you may need done."

"Larry and Dave were the 2 that showed up. They got here around 9am and were gone by 11:30am. They worked together well and after they took the tree down and loaded, they raked they yard and got all the little limbs up. I would use this tree service again. I give them a big A+."

"They removed a large bald cypress tree from the property where I work. It was in a tight spot between two buildings. They expertly removed it without any damage to the adjacent buildings. The owner, David, and his crew were very professional and a pleasure to work with. They cleaned up very well when they finished. They even helped me load some logs I wanted to keep into my truck. Hatchie provided a great service and value for the money. I highly recommend them."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

The best time to trim trees is in late fall through winter when the tree has slowed its growing for the year. Cold weather stops insects and fungal growth from attacking a new tree wound. Summer and fall are considered the worst times to trim trees, but it’s permissible in certain scenarios, such as tree disease, damaged branches, or small, aesthetic cuts.

Unless it’s dead or dangerous, think twice about cutting down a tree in your yard. They’re good for health, well-being, wildlife, and the environment. Plus, local authorities often have regulations prohibiting the removal of trees, especially protected species or individual trees with historical value.

Generally, you should prune around 20% of an apple tree’s growth—and never more than 30%. This means that if you have a severely overgrown tree, it can take a few seasons to prune it back enough to produce the healthiest fruit.

If you’re dealing with a newly planted or juvenile tree, hold off on pruning beyond the initial shaping. Wait at least a couple of seasons into fruit production since pruning can increase the number of water sprouts and unproductive foliage.

Some fast-acting products can rot a tree stump in four to six weeks. Keep in mind, these products contain harsh chemicals that may prevent regrowth in the area. Other products, like fertilizer that contains lots of nitrogen, can enhance the process and rot a stump in about a year. (This is compared to the ten years it can take naturally for a stump to rot.)

Yes, the same rules discussed above apply to your neighbor: They can trim one of your trees as long as they’re only cutting the portion that extends into their property. Your neighbor is not allowed to access your property without permission, nor can they cut past the property line.
