"I have had All American do inspections on 3 properties that I purchased in the last twenty years. I have found Dan, Tina and the crew to be thorough and honest with me about issues with home problems both near and future. He and the crew are obviously experienced in home construction and have always pointed out problems that we would never have seen. He prioritizes the repairs by need, which helps tremendously in responding to sellers. I believe three inspections with Dan pretty much should say everything you need to know. Tom T."

"Jonathon was able to come out with very little turn around time after another inspector had to cancel and I found him on home advisor. He was extremely thorough in his inspection and explained anything I did not understand. Thankfully he saved me from buying a home with thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of issues. Hopefully I will find another home soon and from here on out as long as I am buying in Mississippi, he will be the only inspector I call."

"Mr. Mann was alone for the unloading. Think he would be a great hire for small jobs- mostly boxes or a few pieces of furniture. As far as the logistics of loading a 20 ft Uhaul, there was a lot of shifting of my personal property during the drive from Hattiesburg to Biloxi. When I opened the back of the truck, a small but valued piece of furniture fell out of the back of the truck almost hitting me. Everything loaded from the storage unit fit in a 20 ft Uhaul with about 6 ft deep of extra space. Had a larger piece of furniture not fallen off of the truck ramp, Me. Mann would have had to re-configure some things in order to make everything fit. Due to circumstances beyond my control, a change in the unload date was necessary. I did pay Mr. Mann extra on the day of the loading for the extra time he needed to pack the truck. For the unloading, I helped Mr. Mann with the moving boxes from the ground into my apartment. It took just as long to unload as it do to load. A few small things got broken inside boxes that were marked “Fragile” or marked as “pictures and picture frames”. Mr. Mann is a very nice man but as I mentioned, this job was more than the manpower he had available. I think with time, and more experience, he will become more efficient at both estimating a moving job, and carrying it out with proficiency and professionalism."

Biohazard Remediation questions, answered by experts

No, a dehumidifier does not actually remove mold. It only reduces the moisture in the room, which mold needs in order to grow. If you already have mold, you’ll need to do a deeper cleaning or call a pro to remove the existing mold first.

Mold in a furnace is frequently found on evaporator coils, filters, or within the ductwork. The mold appears in dark, fuzzy patches in either black, green, or white. You may also notice a musty odor. Green or white mold can be cleaned with DIY methods, but if you see black mold, call a professional. Black mold is toxic and harmful to your health.

Yes, you can use bleach to remove mold from your aluminum siding, but it’s a powerful cleaning agent, so make sure it’s diluted with water first. A solution of one part bleach and four or five parts water works well. But it’s still a good idea to start by cleaning a small, inconspicuous area of the siding to make sure that the solution doesn’t cause damage or discoloration.

Soaking memory foam can break down its structure over time or even encourage mold growth. However, brief encounters with moisture will not ruin your memory foam. As long as the mattress, topper, or cushion dries soon after getting wet, there's nothing to worry about. Just be sure to keep the affected item in an area with plenty of air and sun to encourage quick drying.

Many caulk alternatives are safe for use in kitchens and food preparation areas, provided you apply them correctly and let them cure for the right amount of time. If you’re unsure about this step, call in a pro to do it for you. Silicone putty and caulk strips are often used around sinks and countertops due to their waterproof and flexible nature. Always choose products labeled as safe for kitchen use and follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper application and curing.
