"I'm really in the middle ratings-wise, leaning towards "D" but giving the benefit of the doubt... I've had them for about a year and honestly cannot say I'm too impressed. My yard was in good shape grass-wise, but needed some weed control. Sad to say, weeds continue to pop up in my yard, and I've had them out a couple extra times for more treatments. It's obvious the applications miss a lot of spots or are just ineffective. I was expecting to be basically weed free by now, but it is not even close. It's actually no better (or worse) than when I called them last year to start annual service."

"The entire crew was very efficient, timely, professional and polite. We had 5 huge trees, so big that the limbs extended to the roof. It was a big job and they did it well. They left our yard cleaner than it was before they got here. We had limbs and debris from the storms that had nothing to do with the job, yet they still took all the debris away. Not only that, they raked and blew off the patio. I can not recommend them enough."

The only deduction I’d give is that I thought they were coming out on Monday (which I thought was weird because it was a holiday) and I didn’t hear from them until Friday - it would have been nice to know sooner. Otherwise excellent work! "

Adding a second coat of stain to wood can even out the color to some extent, but it won't drastically alter the hue if the initial application is too light or too dark. Your tool of choice ultimately comes down to personal preference. Many DIYers prefer applying stain with a lint-free rag, but others stick with a paint brush or a roller. You should wait three to six months after you buy it to paint pressure-treated wood. It needs time to dry from the chemicals applied to it. The paint will not adhere to the treated wood as well if it’s still wet from chemicals. To test the wooden boards, drip water onto them. If the wood absorbs the water, it’s ready for painting. If the water beads up, it’s not dry enough to paint yet. You can build your deck or fence while the treated wood is still wet, but you’ll need to paint it later.
