"It was time for our home’s year termite retreat, so we contacted Tabor Termite and Pest Control. Mike Tabor took my call and I explained what I needed. We agreed on a day/date for Mike to come and look at our property and provide an estimate. On the day of the appointment, Mike promptly texted and informed me he was on his way. Once at our home, Mike did a thorough inspection and provided an estimate for the requested service. He explained, in detail, what he would do and how he would do it. We agreed on a date/day for him to do the work, and again, Mike was very prompt in arriving and completing the retreat of our property. We paid for his services and he left our termite warranty and detailed invoice with us. We could not be more satisfied and happy with the customer service we received from Tabor Termite and Pest Control. We will definitely use them in the future and will gladly recommend Mike and Tabor Termite and Pest Control."

We are committed to excellence in every aspect of our business. We uphold a standard of integrity bound by fairness, honesty, and personal responsibility. Our distinction is the quality of service we bring to our customers. Accurate knowledge of our trade combined with ability is what makes us true professionals. Above all, we are watchful of our customers' interests, and make their concerns the basis of our business. On January 1, 1946, with $1,200 cash, a used van, a few valuable contacts, and a theme of service, J.C. Redd started the company Redd Pest Control located in Jackson, MS. Over time, Redd Pest Control grew into one of the largest pest companies in the industry covering eight states. In 1999, J.C.’s business was sold by his son Richard, with the exception of several franchised territories owned by family members in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Alabama.\n

"Excellent communication with termite inspector. Marketing department for pest control was prompt in addressing my request and patient in answering all my questions about related fees for service. Both the termite inspector and pest control technician were on-time for appointment and were thorough in completing requested work. I am satisfied with evaluation of my property and the discussion of my needs and options for termite control. I will continue to work with on establishing a termite protection plan."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Honey bees are most likely to swarm during spring and early summer, typically from April through June, as colonies expand and prepare for new growth. Swarming occurs when a hive becomes overcrowded, prompting the queen and a group of worker bees to leave in search of a new nesting site. During this time, you may notice a temporary increase in bee activity around your property.

Yes, humans carry fleas. Although fleas are primarily associated with dogs and cats, they are attracted to the warmth and carbon dioxide of mammals, including humans. The difference is that most fleas will only choose animals as their hosts. They may bite humans, but they don’t tend to stick around on humans for long. The one exception is the Pulex irritans, also called the human flea, which prefers human blood.

Poison will kill small rodents and can seem like the quick and easy way to get rid of them. But—in addition to its inhumane nature—poison has some drawbacks. First of all, if you have small children or pets in the home, setting out poison isn't the best idea, as your pets or children could ingest it.

Poisoned mice and rodents don't die instantly. Instead, it can take several days for the poison to work its way through their system. In the meantime, there's a chance that a predator, such as a cat, fox, or other mammal, will eat the poisoned rodent and become poisoned themselves.

Squirrels hate anything that disturbs the peace in their nest. Loud noises, bright lights, and strong smells like cayenne pepper or mothballs will deter them from your attic. Spread these scents, add a strobe light, or use an ultrasonic repeller to keep squirrels from nesting in your attic.

Seeing one mouse in your home doesn’t always indicate a full-blown infestation. However, it’s very likely that if you see one, there are more lurking around. Even if you suspect that a mouse sighting is an isolated incident, it’s important to take it seriously. One mouse will inevitably lead to more if you don’t take the proper measures to eliminate the problem.
