"Pittman Tree Service removed 4 trees from our property. Two of the trees were right next to our house. He did a great job! Removed the trees & stumps. He did such a great job you canâ  t even tell where the trees were. He even made sure not to leave any ruts with his equipment. Also reasonably priced!!"

"We did a lot of research to compare pricing and the quality of work because we have had other jobs that we contracted out that we were not happy with and everyone I spoke to said he did a great job. I think its because he is passionate about his work."

"Had an excellent experience with NA Tree Service. Nathan came to the house to provide an estimate for the work to be done, and he came back the next day and completed the tree removal project in an efficient, timely matter and at a reasonable cost for the work done. Would recommend NA Tree Service for any tree work you may need done."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

It may be possible, but transplanting a large, mature tree can be a tricky project, and some trees handle it better than others. If you have a tree you need to save and are considering transplanting it elsewhere, we highly suggest calling a tree removal service and arranging a consultation to see what they say (and how much a full transplant would cost).

Burning a tree stump can be effective, but it comes with safety considerations and isn’t always best for every situation. It's essential to check local regulations and assess the safety risks involved. Stumps that are near wooden structures or other non-moveable flammable objects aren’t good candidates for burning due to the risk of the fire spreading. Alternatives like grinding or a DIY stump rotting project might be safer and quicker for getting the job done.

If you’re planning on keeping the tree, unless the roots are invasive, there’s no need to remove them, as doing so can cause damage to the tree. If the tree has been cut down and the stump and roots are left, grinding and removing the stump can cause root decay for some species. For other species, the stump and roots will need to be removed to prevent pests, disease, and possible tree regrowth.

Palm trees will not regrow from a stump once the tree has been cut down. This type of tree is unique because the root and stump system will slowly decay after the tree is gone, unlike other species that can regrow. That’s why it’s preferable to remove dead or decaying palm tree stumps quickly as they can become an eyesore and don’t offer future growing potential.

It’s not always easy to tell when a tree is dying, although signs like dropping branches and brittle bark can sometimes offer clues. It can also be difficult to know whether a tree is dead or dormant, especially if it’s a deciduous tree. You’ll want to wait until a growth season to get a good idea of a tree’s health. When in doubt, contact an arborist for a consultation.
