"Air South provided by far the best price and value after having received over 5 different bids on my Central AC and Heat Pump replacement. They also replaced all my duct work. They are extremely professional, on time, and worked with my schedule to make sure things got put in according to my progress as I renovated a house. I can't recommend this company enough. From their customer service folks to the on-site technicians to the owner, James Sinclair, I had a wonderful experience in this phase of my project. Also, they helped in recommending the best value system and not the most expensive for my application - saving money is always nice. Also the work was paid in progress payments that I felt comfortable with. What a great company and something that is hard to find in this day and age with a lot of shoddy contractors out there. Thanks for allowing me to write this positive review."

"Jim for Donhohues Lightning Rods installed the lightning rod system in my home. When the work was done I was very happy as their installer came as per promised time, and perform the work. Before giving them the work Jim completely sold me their work ethics, quality, and service. There was a minor issue and his team took complete ownership of this issue and talked to me in detail. They provide a very good explanation to satisfy me. I am a happy customer."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Regular meetings, reviewing drafts, and providing input on materials help align the project with your vision.

You can draw your own house plans using three-dimensional modeling software, but in most cases, you’ll need an architect to draw up the final plans. Architects understand local building regulations and requirements, so their plans will be necessary for getting permits approved, and they’ll also ensure your home is structurally sound. DIY house plans can be a good place to start to help visualize your project, but you should always defer to a professional before trying to proceed with the project.

Costs depend on project complexity, software requirements, and the draftsperson’s experience.

Services include creating technical drawings, floor plans, and 3D renderings for construction or renovation projects.

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.
