"The men came out right on time and started to work. My house is setting on 14ft of fill! They dug five holes next to the foundation. They had to jack hammer for two days through a lot of rock until they got to the basement footer. Deshon O, Jovann J and Kyle H were the team ready for the task. Iâ m really impressed with the hard work and the team tasked with making my foundation solid again. Foundation Recovery Systems was right priced and reliable. "It was a pleasure doing business with Rene! He and his team did a wonderful job taking apart my crooked, uneven landscaping blocks and placing them back in a much more eye pleasing way. It is now exactly as I pictured. They are now nice and level with a layout that flows much better. The project was completed quickly but with care. Pricing was very fair as well. "Daniel Schesser was on time, got the job done three other plumbers were not able to complete. 2/3rds of our toilets, showers and sinks were plug and backing up onto the floor. Real mess and during Christmas holidays with additional load of incoming family. Big shout out to Daniel and Reddi Services. Turns out cement like crud with stones had loosened and plugged up the trunk."

Drilling into brick doesn’t have to be a dangerous project if you prep and approach it with the right tools and techniques, but it does come with risks if it’s not done correctly. It can lead to significant issues, such as damaging the brick or affecting the wall’s structural integrity. Applying too much force can crack or chip the brick, while incorrect placement might compromise its load-bearing strength. 

It is possible, albeit a lot slower, to break up a rock using water. You would do this by freezing and thawing the water. You could create some initial holes or cracks in the rock, then pour water into the cracks or holes and allow them to freeze (so it's best to do this in winter or in colder climates). Since water expands when it freezes, this puts pressure on the inside of the rock and causes it to crack. You could continue to pour more water in and let it freeze to continue to break up the rock.

If you’re attempting to mix and pour your own mortar, expect to pay between $5 to $10 for an 80-pound bag of mix. The cost to repair mortar, however, can range from $300 to $500 for a 20-square-foot wall. The larger the area and the more extensive the repair, the higher the cost.

Cobblestone is not a type of rock but a term for a mosaic or rock laid down as a surface. It used to be made from the closest available stone but now can be made from nearly any hard rock, as machining has made shaping the stone much easier and cheaper.

The best tool for drilling into brick or mortar is a rotary hammer drill which is a large hammer drill with low rotation speed and high torque. Regular drills with a hammer function are also excellent tools for drilling into brick when the diameter of the hole is 1/2 inch or less. It might be possible to drill into brick with a standard drill if you’re only drilling a very small hole, but note that masonry work will put a lot of wear on a standard drill, and the tool may not be strong enough to get through brick.
