"The first guy that came out misdiagnosed the problem.  We had to have them come out again.  He didn't charge us, and did the correct repair.  They were OK with pricing.  Most repair places don't apply the service call charge to the repair charge, but Sears did.  The first person I talked to on the phone didn't know what she was talking about.  That call was very challenging, possibly because of a language barrier.  I would use them again."

"Part of the siding had fallen off the second story of the house where it intersects the roof; not a easy spot to keep track of.  It needed to be replaced quickly due to incoming inclement weather and Handyman Solutions had a man out to give me an estimate the next day.  Long story short - he needed to take off a couple of boards that had rotted.  He primed new ones, patched the vapor barrier behind the damaged board and put up the new ones.  I had some spare paint  and he used it to paint the new siding.  He even gave me recommendations for fiber cemetn siding if I decide to replace the cedar. The work was completed before the next downpour arrived within 4 days of my call for help.

"My first experience with my new home came with some problems to say the least. I originally called for a garage door repair and called a plumber for another needed repair. Rex showed up reviewed the problem with the garage door and was so knowledgeable I asked about the plumbing..... I asked for a bid on the plumbing and he agreed to give me one the next day. The first plumber never showed up and the second charged $89.00 just to show up an bid the work which they explained after they showed up" Benjamin Franklin Plumbing " be warned their price doesn't include the show up fee and their price was $376.00 more than Ace Handyman. Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

Granite is heavier than quartz, since it has a higher density. Quartz is made up of engineered stone, which is why it tends to weigh less than granite. Most granite countertops are ¾-inch thick and weigh about 13 pounds per square foot.

Yes, you can remove an undermount sink from granite countertops. However, it’s safest to hire a granite pro to take on this job. Your pro might have to make cuts and grind the granite to remove the sink. Plus, if you’re replacing your sink with a larger one, you’ll need your pro to enlarge the existing sink cutout in your granite.

The cost to repair a stone countertop typically ranges from $200 to $800. The final price depends on several factors, including the type and severity of the damage, the type of stone, and labor costs. Minor issues like small cracks, chips, or scratches are on the lower end of the cost spectrum, while more significant damage that requires resurfacing, refinishing, resealing, or custom color matching will be more expensive.

While no countertop material is truly “heatproof,” granite countertops are extremely resistant to high temperatures. Some types of granite can withstand temperatures up to 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. However, we don’t recommend placing hot pots and pans directly on granite countertops. Even if it doesn’t scar the granite, it may damage the sealant.

Yes, a granite countertop can be cut in place. However, learning how to cut a granite countertop in place is a lot trickier than cutting granite in an open, well-ventilated space. You’ll also need to protect everything in the surrounding area (like your kitchen cabinets and appliances), but even that might not be enough to prevent dust from getting stuck in tight spots. If you absolutely must cut a granite countertop in place, consider hiring a pro to get the job done in the cleanest and safest way possible.
