"Work was never done. Contractor was dispatched by Choice Home Warrenty. Arrived late. Charged me for 2 service calls ($130.00) instead of just one as specified by Choice Home Warrenty. Technician submitted the work orders and they were approved. Technician never called Choice oe me to schedule the work. This all began on June 8th. Calls have been made to the technician by Choice and have never been returned. As far as I'm concerned I have had $130 stolen from me by a disreputable and dishonest company. He could not provide a receipt so I took a photo of his Nondriver ID (yes he drove here). 10 days later and still no contact. I will not recommend this company. I will file a complaint with the BBB and have logged a complaint with Choice Home Warrenty as well."

The length of time your well pump should cycle is dependent on many factors, like the tank size, pressure setting, and even the amount of water in your well. Normally, when your well pump turns on or off, you’ll hear a small click. This isn’t anything to worry about, but it can be a problem if it’s clicking continuously. This can indicate that the well pump is short cycling—the pump continuously turns on and off.

This can wear out the motor and provide uneven water flow. If this happens, you may need to get it looked at by a well pump professional to see if you need to repair the switch or pump.

If your well pump gets stuck in its casing, you may be able to free it loose by gently wiggling the line or by vibrations from tapping the line with a hammer. However, if your pump is stuck in a buildup of minerals around the casing, you’ll probably have to call in a well pump contractor to get it out. They’ll likely use a muriatic acid solution—a strong, corrosive acid—to break down the minerals and free the pump loose. 

To avoid a stuck pump in the future, experts recommend a professional well cleaning once every 10 years.
