Small jobs welcome

"Why West County Insulation is the Best Choice for Your Insulation Needs When it comes to insulation, quality and professionalism matter—and that's exactly what I received from West County Insulation. Fast and Knowledgeable Service Brandon, who provided the initial quote, was timely, knowledgeable, and thorough. He explained all my options and made sure I understood everything clearly, giving me confidence in my decision. Professional and Efficient Installation The installation team, led by Andrew and Isaac, was efficient and professional. They used drop cloths to protect my home and completed the job quickly without sacrificing quality. The owner even took the time to check in after hearing about a fall I had during the job—demonstrating the company’s commitment to customer care. Great Quality at a Fair Price The insulation quality is excellent, and my home is already feeling more comfortable. With competitive pricing and outstanding service, West County Insulation offers great value for your investment. If you’re looking for reliable, professional insulation services, I highly recommend West County Insulation."

"I’m a land lord of 72 residential properties and the biggest head ache other than common upkeep was the constant battle with roaches and insects inside the units, I had Triple B come out and put their pest control infused insulation at 10 of my properties and within 3 weeks the tenants were in shock at how affective it was, they went from seeing them everyday to hardly ever, I ended up getting them to do all my units and also my own house, this will be a must at any property I ever purchase, highly suggested for new home owners/buyers"

"He was very knowledgeable and professional. After the audit we received an estimate to correct any areas that were discovered. Unlike what we originally thought our issues were not the windows and doors. The estimate was for $4000 to add insulation to the attic, increase airflow in the attic, install foam insulation around our fireplace and throughout the basement as well as removing the attic fan and adding drywall.
The price is the estimated price for projects to be completed.

"The BATH UPSTAIRS   had a window that needing bracing, a bath that had black mold behind the horrible VINYL wall, and had to be insulated with MOISTURE proof materials and RE-TILED - the walls, under the window and behind the tub and around the laundry chute opening.  The Downstairs Bath also needed the window braced and tiled as it was falling and splitting from the ceiling due to POOR WORKMANSHIP by someone NOT on Angies List back in 2003!!   SO, Siding Repair Systems -  They did it all, with their contractor Thomas Morton.  What a really fantastic job - on BOTH these Bathroom windows, Tiling and securing/supporting.  EXCELLENT WORK!!  Clean and neat - it looked like they had a MAID SERVICE come in and clean up after them.  Honestly.  So neat and clean they were.  Thanks for a Really good job.   "

"Al and his partner were setup and working within 10 minutes of getting to our house. What I appreciate about Al is that he notices little things that need to be done and just does them (recaulking the bathtub when he was working in the bathroom, using left over concrete patch from the foundation to fill in a spot in the driveway that was broken) - simple stuff that adds little or nothing to the bill but tells me he's paying attention and that he cares. I have had Al work on several projects now, and to be honest, I don't even bother calling anyone else.

Insulation questions, answered by experts

If you need to insulate behind finished walls, the best option will likely be to have an insulation professional install blown-in insulation. The installation requires small holes cut in your wall, after which the installer can blow loose-fill insulation into the void. After the installation, you’ll have minor drywall patching, which shouldn’t cost more than $100. Compared to ripping down the existing drywall, using a different type of insulation, and replacing and finishing the drywall, this should save you hundreds or even thousands, depending on the size of the room you’re insulating.

DIY insulation installation is feasible, particularly for basic rolls or batts, if you have the right protective gear and knowledge. However, hiring a professional ensures even, full coverage for maximum efficiency.

Insulation is professionally installed by measuring spaces, cutting materials to fit correctly, and placing them without gaps for optimal thermal resistance.

Garden blankets and frost cloths are the best things to use to protect trees and plants from frost. They are made from polypropylene fabric, which is lightweight, breathable, and dries fast. If you can’t get garden blankets or frost cloths before the freeze, you should use lightweight blankets, sheets, or towels.

Spreading tin foil over your windows works similarly to radiant barrier insulation, but not as well. It will reflect some of the sunlight that would otherwise come through the glass and warm up the inside of your home, so it might help a little to keep your home cool in the summer. However, the appearance isn’t preferable to blinds or drapes that can offer the same benefits. You might also consider tinting your windows instead, which is a more aesthetically pleasing change that can still block a good portion of the solar heat coming through your windows.
