Could not be more pleased! Called American Installation and would not touch the job or any job for less than $2500 no matter how small the job!!!! For real??? Estimate./proposal done by Bryan. Knowledgeable and professional. Did have to reschedule appointment due to equipment problem on a job prior to my estimate. Scheduled the work with office staff (Chris) for a couple of weeks out. Got a call the afternoon before installation that they would need to move to the next day due to having to stop an attic blow in install because of rain. Very apologetic. Bryan and Tammy arrived a bit later than scheduled due to back up at the warehouse where they were picking up the spray foam tanks. Bryan and I walked through the job and made sure we both were fully aligned on the areas to be insulated. Job went smoothly and was done professionally. He did a good job of covering under a bay window to be sure it was fully insulated. Cleaned up the area very well after they were done. They use a fully automated system to schedule and sign off on the contracts. You will need to be somewhat capable technologically through smart phone, tablet or computer.

I was extremely impressed by St. Louis Insulation. Bryan was especially helpful and professional. He was very polite and answered all my questions thoroughly. Their crew was respectful of my house, did very good work, and their prices were fair. I would definitely recommend their services.

We had St. Louis Insulation seal and insulate the crawlspace in our one-story 3-bedroom brick home in early December. The existing insulation was probably original from the mid-70s and was falling from the ceiling of the crawlspace, about half already on the floor. SLI provided an estimate and described their procedure -- sealing, not just replacing the rolls of insulation but sealing the floor and walls and vents. They described the timeline for the work. The estimate was pricey, but well in line with other providers of the same service, and it's a one-time job, not an every-20-years job. Ultimately we selected SLI as we were impressed by reviews of their work and by their professionalism and the clarity of their description of the work to be done. They arrived punctually and performed the work very fast, considering the nature of the work (removing all old insulation and all the other debris down there, putting in the new plastic and insulation and foam spray). I was very impressed by their politeness, efficiency, and the cooperation they showed in working together. (They're in the crawlspace and so if they had yelled or even been grumpy with each other, I'd have heard it.) They removed approximately 24 very large stuffed trashbags of old insulation (it's a large crawlspace) and stacked them neatly on the driveway, then put everything in their truck and hauled it away. (That was the first day.) They brought in the supplies of the new work -- holy cow, lots of plastic, tanks for the foam spray etc -- and quickly installed all of it. (That was another half-day.) They supplied photos of the work so that I didn't need to get into the crawlspace to see what they'd done. The work was fully completed within the time they had estimated. And everything they did was cleaned up. I would recommend, without reservation, their work. Great people, very professional, and they clearly have done this enough that they are very well organized. Because the entrance to our crawlspace is in the floor of a bedroom closet, they kept that bedroom closed while they were working, and took everything in and out via a window. It kept any mess localized, so that I did have to do a thorough cleaning of the carpet and all surfaces in the room but it was only one room, and I was cleaning the dust basically -- all their supplies and any trash were totally removed. So A+ on that. One small unforeseen issue was that we have small dogs, and we had not thought about the spray foam and any fumes, and SLI did not think of that either, until the day they were going to do the spray foam. We had to quickly move the dogs to another part of the house, and near a window, where they would be less exposed. (They're pugs so I think the fumes would not be an issue for a larger dog -- we just need to be careful because they're pugs.) If you have small dogs, or pet birds, you will want to consider how to keep them safe during the foam spray. Overall, St. Louis Insulation did a great job. They said exactly what they'd do, and they did it. Considering the nature of the work required (bending or kneeling in a crawlspace, hauling huge bags of old insulation and rolls of plastic while bending or kneeling), I am hugely impressed with the professionalism and with their good-natured attitude. They are very good at what they do.

They accomplished my sound proofing project with the goal to make my music 100% sound proof to the rest of the house. I can now play drums late at night without waking up the household. STL Insulation were true professionals using state of the art sound proofing materials and techniques to accomplish the job.

They were very nice and professional. They were very clean and left no mess in or out of the house. We have an attic fan and they created an insulation box that allows us to use the fan without letting all the heat or cold come through the slats when the fan is not in use. We could tell the difference immediately.

Added closed cell spray foam between joists to air seal and insulate, and filled remaining space with fiberglass, and replaced the plywood on the joists in the crawlspace. I had got estimates from 3 companies to compare, I thought theirs was the most thorough solution for the price. I wanted air sealing and a high R value. Estimated a one and a half day job, workers were VERY courteous and professional. They were prompt and hard workers. Answered all my questions and concerns. They worked till dark but the job would need a few hours the next day to finish. There wasn't much room in the crawlspace so it was a tough job. I inspected the nearly finished work. And the crew returned the next morning and worked during a downpour to get it done. My wife paid them that morning. What impressed me most was how they handled a problem I had when I inspected the final part of the work a few days later. I was not satisfied at how the final three pieces of plywood were installed and met the support beam. I'll chalk it up to miscommunication of my expectations. I emailed the support email that night. The next morning the co-owner called me, said he'd get it fixed to my satisfaction. They had a crew back out in a few days and did a great job installing it as I wanted. I was very impressed how they stood behind their work.

St. Louis Insulation was excellent to work with. I'm very happy with the job they did and happy we used them. From start to finish they were professional in every way. I would highly recommend them.

We had additional insulation installed in our attic, a barrier put in above the soffits to allow better airflow, and installed a radiant barrier to help with the attic heat. They also insulated our garage that had not been properly insulated before. They were quick to respond for an initial estimate and were very accommodating to our schedule. They were able to schedule our job quickly and were wonderful to work with. Everything was online and easy to access. Once our job started, they walked through everything with us to keep us informed of the job, the workers were polite and very clean in their work, and they arrived on time. They readjusted their initial scope of the project to better insulate an odd area above our garage, and did so at no additional cost to us. Very happy with them from start to finish.

Second, they gave me an appointment for an estimate and they showed up on time. Third, they looked closely at the issue and came up with a solution adapted to my needs. They were very knowledgeable. They gave me a detailed estimate so I knew what I would get for the price and what I should do for the repairs. After scheduling the job, they showed up on time. The team was extremely professional, courteous, and respectful of my house. They did an excellent job and the job site was spotless once they were done. Their scheduling and billing system was very easy to handle. I can’t say enough good things about this company. I wish all contractors were that professional. I would definitively use again and recommend St Louis Insulation.

Chris came out twice to prepare the initial bid; he was responsive, professional, and very knowledgeable. Ashley was great to work with scheduling the project and keeping in touch regarding the timeline. Zach the installer did a great job and cleaned up afterwards. Overall we had a great experience with this company and would recommend them to anyone looking for insulation work.
