Full service interior and exterior construction and remodeling, HVAC/R certified, licensed electrical.

"We gave Erick $8000 to do a porch remodel including windows and heating and cooling. Cashed our check, came out and tore the place up and haven't seen him since. DO NOT hire this man to do any work. I know of two other people that he's taken money from in excess of $30,000 (not including the 8K he got from us)."

Full Service Lawn & Landscaping Service,lawn care,mowing,leaf,leaf clean up,leaf removal,vac service,grading,land leveling,sod,seed,aerating,hauling,hedge trimming,snow removal,salting service, hard scape,mulching,planting, Fully Insured

"I selected Metro Land Services based on the good ratings they had on Angie's list. Big mistake! Their price was the same as all the other quotes I had received ($35 per cut plus $45/hour for additional work, e.g., weeding). They were, however, unable to do handle lawn fertilization and weed control, and sent me to one of the big firms (Lawn Doctor) for a quote. This should have been a warning sign, but I still decided to go ahead with them. The first visit was fine, though they were not particularly careful in how they mowed the lawn and in the process chopped off a few seedlings we had just planted. They also told us that our lawn was growing slowly so that they would only come back in two weeks. This seemed reasonable, but two weeks later no body had showed up and we were starting to have a jungle in our backyard. I therefore called and left a voicemail asking when they were intending to come, and that unless they were able to do it soon, there was no point in them coming back. They did show up a few hours later, but did an atrocious job and left many parts uncut in addition to being extremely rude to my wife and telling her that we were out of their way and that they would not be coming back. They also said that we would not have to pay for this last cut. Following this, I sent them an email confirming the termination of our agreement, which they acknowledged. However, a few days later, contrary to their initial statement, I did receive a bill for the last cut they did. I will pay it even though the job was sub-standard, but it simply confirmed the general impression of a lack of professionalism. I may be an outlier in my experience, but there is obviously no way I could recommend their services to anyone."

Hauling questions, answered by experts

If you have a large area of brush and vegetation to clear, forestry mulching may be the best option. This method works well for relatively flat areas that don’t have many large rocks or mature trees to clear. Forestry mulching is a relatively quick process that improves soil health, reduces fire risk, and leaves behind usable mulch.

DIY is possible, but professional services handle permits, heavy lifting, and proper disposal.

One of the best ways to reduce packaging waste is to purchase materials that are made using recycled materials. While these don’t eliminate waste, they do help provide uses for old packaging materials and prevent the need to collect more raw ingredients for continued manufacturing. Recycling those same products helps complete the cycle and reduces the need for new materials in the supply chain. You can also upcycle some packing materials, like cardboard and plastic, for use in crafts and organizational tools.

Land-clearing projects often take professionals one to two days to complete, but your timeframe can get much longer—sometimes up to a week or more—if you need your pros to clear a large section of land, grind down multiple large trees below the ground, or clear especially dense or heavy materials, like landscaping boulders and brush. A land-clearing expert will usually give you an accurate timeline along with your quote to help you better plan your project.

Sometimes you may be able to leave the bags with your regular trash. However, that’s not always the case. Call your local waste management prior to starting the removal and ask about the proper ways to recycle or dispose of removed insulation. In many cases, your town or municipality has a designated dumpster for building waste.
