Husband and wife team together design, price, sell and oversee the entire installation of each project. Projects consist of small partial remodels with modest budgets up to top of the line dream kitchens and baths.

"My worst experience ever. Over cost by a huge percentage of the initial estimate which you only find out the cost of "time and materials" at the very end. K-build is the sub used, which we had used before with them when we had the bath re-done in which they also over ran. I made allowances the first time but this time I closely observed. While customers may find the final result to LOOK nice, you need to really examine there work at each stage and ask questions. I found the basic knowledge limited for K-Build . They sort of work as jack of all trades but are masters at none. I would never recommend them to anyone and will spread the word on this job as far as I can. Oh be careful on letting the display of the fish emblem guide or influence you in any way"

Whether you can reuse a drywall anchor or not depends on the type. Plastic expansion anchors and plastic self-drilling anchors, which expand once screwed into the wall, are single-use only. You can't straighten and reuse them after removing them from the wall.

Metal toggle bolts can be reused, provided you can successfully remove the toggle from behind the wall. Once you remove the bolt, the toggle often falls down and can be difficult to retrieve without removing the drywall.

There are several benefits to wet-sanding drywall, but the main perk is that it produces far less dust than dry-sanding. As a result, wet-sanding poses fewer health risks and makes less of a mess in your home. Most parts of the wall will sound hollow, but when you tap over a stud, it will sound more solid. Alternatively, since studs are spaced 16 or 24 inches apart, you can measure those distances from a corner of the room, which will always have a stud.

It’s a pretty good idea to have drywall corners, also called drywall beading. Drywall is a pretty brittle material and corners tend to be rubbed up against it often. Rather quickly, the edges will start crumbling and you’ll need to replace the entire panel, or add beads on top and repaint the wall.
