"The team from Timberland was very professional, doing a phenomenal job of trimming the trees and leaving them in much better shape. They cleaned up the job as they went, and left my lawn spotless. They used all the appropriate safety equipment, and removed several large limbs in segments so that the falling debris did not damage the lawn. The crew chipped the branches and debris, and raked the lawn before they left. I will use them again for any of my tree maintenance needs."

In-home air purifiers really do work. However, their value depends on what you're trying to achieve. Mechanical air filters other than those with true HEPA filtration aren't capable of removing bacteria and viruses from the air. However, many of them can reduce very fine particles, including pollen, a known allergen. On the other hand, UV light filters can remove harmful pathogens but can't remove particles.  

You should plan to change your AC unit's filter every one to three months, depending on the manufacturer's recommendations. You should also clean the coils at least once per year, but if you have pets or someone in your household has allergies, you might need to clean them more often. Fortunately, many pros will clean the coils and change the filter for you during an inspection, which you should schedule once or twice per year.

Most services take 2-5 hours, though full unit replacements or extensive repairs may take longer.

Even if you don’t have an exhaust, you can still use a carbon filter in line with a duct fan. This method is known as “scrubbing” because it cleans particles from the air and recirculates the air within your space. This method allows you to keep your enclosed garden space sealed from the outside environment.

As a rule, it’s best to replace your HVAC filters every three months. But in some cases, you may need to change your filters more frequently. For example, if you use thin filters (1 to 2 inches in depth), you may need to swap them out every month or two. If you smoke inside or often keep your windows open, aim to replace the filters once per month.
