"Scott came to do the bid and he was pleasant, knowledgeable, and straightforward. I never felt like he was trying to up-sell me, nor did I think he was trying to undercut competitors just to get work. The bid was a little higher than I had budgeted for, but still realistic. He was even able to figure out the best solution for our ceiling lighting which was a challenge since we didn't have enough space for full recessed lights. Once I had called the office to make my down payment, they called to schedule the start of the work before I expected them to, which was a welcomed surprise. Colin did most of the work in our home. He was pleasant, professional, clean, and was able to complete the rough-in without any issues. Rough-in passed inspection on the first try, and I scheduled the final for after drywall had been installed. Colin returned for the finish and had everything completed in one day. The next day, we passed final inspection with no issues. We are very happy with the work, and everything works as described. I had used other companies with less desirable results. I will continue to use Streib for all of my future electrical needs."

"Everything from the quote through installation was great. Highly recommend. They even went above and beyond by cleaning our existing ceiling fan. It was covered in dust bunnies, so while they had the extra tall ladder used to change out the can lights in our two story great room they took the initiative to do that as well!"

"Installed three outlets in our garage and did an awesome job!! One outlet is double, half of it being a GFCI for our refrigerator and the rest are standard plugs. They also installed our Ring security camera using our existing light fixture, all of it works great and would absolutely use them again!"

"I have a light fixture in my foyer that is about 22 ft up.  I had a roof replaced and after it was completed I could not figure out why my light did not work.  After doing due diligence I figured out that I needed a professional.
They cam on time set up the ladder and soon found my problem.  After the repair they repositioned my lights and cleaned up the little mess and was off.
It was a quick job and they where on their way.
I would use them again.

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

Under-cabinet lighting is generally energy-efficient, especially when using LED technology. Compared to traditional ceiling lighting or older bulb types like halogen and incandescent, LED under-cabinet lights consume significantly less energy, which helps reduce operating costs. This applies to various forms, including strip lights, puck lights, and built-in fixtures. For an option that uses no electricity, consider battery-operated puck lights. While they require periodic battery replacements, they have the added advantage of functioning during a power outage.

Pool light replacements are often more expensive compared to other pool parts, like pump motors, or standard light bulbs for indoor use. The reason for the higher cost is that pool lights are specially designed and made with parts meant to keep swimmers safe. The light fixture and surrounding parts protecting the bulb must be waterproof, tightly sealed, and resistant to extreme temperatures.

For every foot of ceiling height, your chandelier should have two to three inches of height. To calculate the width of the ideal chandelier, determine the width and length of the room.

Add these two numbers together and that is the number of inches wide your chandelier should be. For example, if your room is 15 feet wide and 15 feet tall, you will need a chandelier that is 30 inches wide.

An exterior lighting professional will normally be able to complete hardwired lighting installation in a day or two, depending on the size of the project, and they can install battery-powered or solar-powered lights in just a few hours. DIYing the project will often take a bit longer, but you can typically install battery- or solar-powered exterior lighting in a single weekend.

Motion-sensor lights use one watt while on standby and five watts while turned on. They’re usually on for one hour over a 24-hour period, bringing the total wattage to about 28 watts per day. LED lights use around 6.5 to 8 watts while on. If you leave an LED light on all night, with night ranging from 10 to 14 hours, you’re looking at using 65 to 112 watts a night. You can minimally cut your wattage in half by switching to a motion-sensor light.
