Small jobs welcome

Hello,\nI’m Brian and have been an electrician for 35 years and over the years I have learned other trades and I just understand building and mechanical items and how they work. That promotes the way I take things apart and how they go back together. I look forward to working with you to start and/or complete unfinished projects.

"I couldn't be more pleased. I had gotten three bids for the job (All from Angi), and New Transitions was the lowest cost, based on their Angi coupon. Bryan was up front and explained the entire process of what my window replacement would entail, including the final price. He was also very honest about how long the windows would take, given the pandemic. They did take four months to come in, and he gave me regular updates. Once the windows arrived, Ginger called me to set up a date for installation. Right on time that day, his installer Ron was right on time, and the installation for all six windows took six hours. The windows look fabulous, and they left my house as clean as they found it. I would absolutely recommend New Transitions. As a matter of fact, I already have recommended them to a friend. Completely satisfied so far."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Start by attaching the mirror to a wall stud if possible. Next, use appropriate hardware for the mirror's size and the wall material. That could look like drywall anchors, toggle bolts, or self-drilling anchors to ensure a strong hold. Additionally, D-rings or hanging brackets are more secure than a nail. You can also use mirror adhesive to secure small or larger mirrors with a vanity as a base.

Prior to the middle part of the 1900s, glass manufacturers used a technique that involved blowing glass into cylinder shapes that were then flattened out to create sheets used for windows and doors. This technique often left behind ripples and inconsistencies in the glass.

New glass costs anywhere from $3 to $100 per square foot. More specifically, tempered and insulated glass—a common option for sliding glass doors—costs between $10 and $14 per square foot.

Rubbing alcohol on its own will not remove scratches from glass. You can, however, combine rubbing alcohol with baking soda—in a one-to-one mixed ratio—to create a paste that will help get minor scratches out of glass.

The cost to remove a mirrored wall from your home ranges between $100 and $3,300, though the average price is only $500. You can save money by doing it yourself, but make sure you have safety equipment such as goggles and gloves, as well as the proper tools (drywall knife, wire saw, and a plastic sheet or tarp to cover the floor).
