"Definite Quality Painting did a great job on my wallpaper! Professional crew, very polite, and were able to fit in my job almost immediately. "I hired AW Painting for several projects inside my house. I had had water damage in the basement, so I needed the ceiling painted and several walls painted. I also wanted wallpaper stripped out of a guest bath and the walls painted, trim fixed, caulked and painted in my master bath, and an accent wall painted in the kitchen. First of all, Alvin gave me a very detailed, written quote, which I appreciated. He also helped me talk through the type of paint I wanted to use, colors that would look good, etc. After all that had been decided, Alvin began working. He is very meticulous and takes great pride in his work. He's extremely detail-oriented, and it's obvious his goal is to do the very best possible work for his client. For example, when doing my accent wall in the kitchen (which was a tomato red color), he felt that he needed to apply a third coat, even though I couldn't detect any imperfections after the second coat. The trim in my bathroom looks like new. I have no idea how he was able to transform it from the mess it was! I also was very appreciative of how neat Alvin was while he worked. He minimized the messes and was careful to clean up after he was done. I am very impressed with his work and will hire him again for my painting needs."

"We hired Sissi company to first remove mold from our roof shaded by a big tree. Lewis did a great job and sprayed chlorine in the end to kill the mold that were hard to remove. We then hired him to paint our outside wooden wall. Lewis painted quite carefully and respected and accommodated our requests. After this work done, he did basement waterproofing project for us as well. It saved our basement from flooding during this winter. In the end, Lewis also fixed our water sink sewage pipe and several lights in the house. Lewis is also a very friendly guy and he charged reasonably. I strongly recommend him."

"We experienced everything from original person who was to do our job walking off the job, to elimination of 50% of work we wanted done.  The person who signed us up for the work, which is the same person who was to do the work, promised us via contract that the company could do all the work and there would be a work crew available in the following week.  The original person that eventually walked off the job, would tell us he was going to be here at a certain time, then he did not show up until hours later.   After that, we had a difficult time even getting someone to show up to do the work.  When someone (two guys) did arrive, they were evidently pulled off other jobs, to finish our projects.  One of the guys was overheard to say, that he had to correct C's mistake (meaning the one window), that had siding damage, from removing the old window, and was the workman that had abandoned our project.  Anyway, the two windows have been a nightmare, as it was suggested by the contractor that a 3 inch trim board be placed around the two windows being replaced, to compensate for the siding damage that occurred next to the one window.  We agreed, as it seemed to be okay at the time.  One of the windows had a large 1" hole that went from the inside of house to the outside, and a large 1" hole in the siiding at the top of this same window.  The homeowner (myself) had to quickly put some in the hole that went all the way through, as ants were coming in, and used excess foam, even though interior foam only to fill in the hole on the outside above this window.  Since then, we have noticed a leak very near where one of the holes was patched.  Several times it was mentioned to the contractor about these holes, but nothing was ever done to permanently patch these holes.  Upon closer inspection of the windows, it was observed that the J channel, instead of sitting right next to the windows, was placed around the trim, which now surrounds the windows.  It was also observed that a screw sits in the J channel on one side, and because the windows, along with the J Channel extend out further than they should, we presume, so the window meets the surrounding trim.  Anyway, according to window install instructions, there isn't any circumstance where the J Channel is now sitting right next to the window.  We asked that we get a 2d opinion about this window install, before we made our final payment, just to be assured that everything was done okay.  This contractor rebelled and demanded immediate payment, even though 30 days had not passed.  We were even accused of being responsible for the added trim, since we agreed to it, and any associated problems associated with it.  We paid, but with a bitter taste in our mouth.

"We needed to remove stucco to replace 2- 3-wide bank of windows. Phil pointed out wood rot areas around the windows and discussed several options. He removed additional stucco to repair the wood rot and worked with the window installer to insure an excellent foundation for the windows. Once installation of windows was complete Phil promptly reinstalled stucco and spend a significant amount of time insuring the pattern and color of the stucco matched the existing stucco. Phil was easy to work with and went beyond the scope of the project but only charged for a portion of the additional time he spent including a couple of extra trips to our house.
