"Check around because there is more honest ac techs around the area. I scheduled an appointment and they had two guys look at ac unit and quoted me $8,000 to fix and I had another company come out and fixed my issue for $200 so do not trust them. They even had the audacity to request me to pay them and when I didn’t they reported to my credit which I disputed immediately. They are scammers"

"Log the time they come in and leave: they will overcharge you a LOT!!! They may also have to come (like for me) three times before they advise you to replace the unit. But they will still charge you for everything pointless that they did before then. First visit: Added R22 and left. It didn’t work ($377.50) Second and third visits: Replaced capacitor and left. It didn’t work. Came back and condemned the unit as unfixable. ($185). This is Peter’s in Columbia, MO."

Having the right size pipe ensures proper drainage and helps protect against clogs and other plumbing problems. A pipe that's too small will take longer to drain, which can result in backups. In most cases, a gas stove should be installed by a licensed plumber. Connecting gas appliances carries many risks, chief among them a fatal gas leak. If your home is already set up with the proper gas hookups, you may be able to DIY the installation (or save money by hiring a local handyperson or basic appliance installer near you rather than a plumber). If you’re ever in doubt, however, we recommend going with a professional master plumber.

In most cases, yes, it’s safe to light a gas water heater manually, but you should shut the gas off first, open a window, and let the space air out for about 10 minutes. Modern water heaters shut the gas off entirely if the pilot light goes out, but airing out the area beforehand is good practice and will ensure it’s safe to relight your pilot light manually. Just make sure you turn the gas valve to “pilot” before lighting. If the light keeps going out or won’t light at all, call in a professional.
