"All Solutions Pest Control was quick to respond and offered to come out at our convenience. Tyler provided an exceptional experience explaining his evaluation, assessment results, and recommendations. Tyler confirmed we do not have active termites at the house but in a wood pile not far from the house he did find signs of activity in the past. For proactive measures, we signed up for the annual service. Within the week of the first experience, Tyler came back and installed the system. Great experience all around - very happy with our decision and giving our business to All Solutions Pest Control."

Customers say: Quality work

"Trapper Joe could have came to my house and do what he said he would probably do and charge me way more but instead he listened to what I thought was a bird and he said no it is more than likely electrical and it turned out to be an old carbon monoxide alarm with really old batteries in it. Good man!"

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Woodpeckers usually feed on homes when there is a food source present, and termites are one possible source. However, the presence of woodpeckers doesn’t necessarily mean there are termites. They may also be feeding on more harmless insects like ants or spiders. If woodpeckers seem drawn to one particular part of your home’s siding, it might be worth hiring a termite inspector to check for the presence of these pesky critters.

Hanging wind chimes or motion-activated speakers near your home may be an effective way to deter woodpeckers, as sudden movement and sound often scare birds away. You could also try using reflective decorative items such as pinwheels or mirrors or placing decoys of large predatory birds in your yard. If these measures don’t deter the woodpeckers, you may need the help of a bird removal pro.

No, mothballs do not keep bats away. Not only are mothballs completely ineffective when repelling or removing bats, but using them could be illegal, depending on where you live. Remember, bats are federally protected, and it's illegal to use chemicals during the removal process, and mothballs tend to fall into this category.

Yes, it’s possible for bats in your attic to find a way into your living spaces. Until you can properly remove the bats, the best course of action is to keep the attic doors closed and any holes sealed. Evidence suggests bats follow the airflow in your home, so they may try escaping from the attic to other parts of the house.

When it comes to keeping birds from doing their business on your porch rails, you have several DIY options and home remedies you can try:

  • Tie a fishing line from one end of the deck post to the other. Birds won’t be able to see the line across the railing, so they can’t land on it.

  • Hang wind chimes close by, which may scare birds away.

  • Apply a bird gel repellent to the railings, which contains smells that birds generally don’t like. Or, similarly, you can apply citronella or lemon oil around the railings, since birds don’t like strong smells.
