"Chris and Frank with Vertical Network LLC were incredible! They took on a very challenging job in helping us remove an old safe from a home we just purchased. The safe was easily over 1500 lbs and they had to get creative with ways to remove the safe without causing damage. We were thoroughly impressed with their professionalism, and that they were able to remove the safe so efficiently and safely. We had no damage to our home or yard. We highly recommend them. They have the right equipment and right attitude for the job!"

"This was my first time using Angie’s list. Robert went above and beyond to execute my job request. Today February 1, 2021 it is 34° in St. Louis Missouri. It’s very cold and wet outside. I was in need of debris removal from underneath my deck. Robert exceeded my expectations he not only removed at the debris, but he also raked the leaves that had been accumulated over some time. He had to crawl underground the deck I order to access the space. He was on time very efficient. I will definitely recommend him to anyone looking for hauling services! I appreciate the outstanding customer service!!!"

Hauling questions, answered by experts

Yes, many companies recycle concrete, metal, and other materials to minimize landfill waste.

In short, yes, contractors should clean up any debris, materials, and tools left from their projects. However, whether their services include a deep clean often depends on the contract. Most homeowners will hire an additional cleaner after construction for a thorough pass through the house to ensure the space is safe and as clean from construction dust as possible.

Estate cleanout services aren’t typically priced per square foot, although you can often expect costs to increase along with the square footage of a property. The real factor at play is the number of items that need to be handled. More items, especially bulky items, mean higher costs, and larger homes tend to hold more items.

The most affordable way to dispose of hazardous waste is to find a local disposal program that accepts hazardous materials with no dumping fees. These programs are available in many communities and are funded by local governments. If you can transport your hazardous materials to the dumping site, you can often get rid of everything at no cost.

Yes, cleaning a crawl space is worth the cost. Although it's an out-of-sight area, neglecting it can lead to significant problems like pest infestations (including termites and carpenter ants), mold, and fungal growth, which can cause structural damage. Regular cleaning helps prevent these issues. While hiring a contractor has ongoing costs, the price for cleaning—typically between $0.50 and $4 per square foot—is much lower than the cost to remediate a pest or mold problem. Additionally, a clean crawl space can lead to improved indoor air quality and more comfortable temperatures in your home.
