"This company is very under-rated and I had not heard about them until I came Home Advisory's website. I gave them a call to get a quote after getting four other quotes from others and after learning so much about windows I figured why not get just one more. A fellow by the name of Chad came by and Chad was a lot more thorough about his measuring and showing me the different type windows available to everyone. Quote was far below the others.. The workers were the best. Left clean and neat. Courteous and I was so pleased with the whole process. Highly recommend to any homeowner or business."

"Leisure Living/Four Seasons had the exact all-weather enclosure product to fit our porch's unusual construction design, without costly alterations. All of the materials were custom-manufactured to our needed dimensions and arrived in perfect shape. The installer was extremely friendly, courteous, and efficient, and did a fantastic job. We could not be happier with the beautiful result."

Eifs Installers FAQs, answered by experts

Yes, you absolutely need a permit to add a window to your house. Your contractor can likely obtain this permit on your behalf. Ask about this when getting quotes from multiple window contractors.

You install a window well 8 to 12 inches deeper than the base of the window sill. After filling the well with drainage rock, the well should sit 3 inches below the bottom of the window. The top of the window well should also be at least 3 inches higher than the surface-grade ground. The window well should be about 6 inches wider than the window opening.

DIY is possible for experienced individuals. Professional installation ensures compliance with building codes and proper sealing.

Installing a window well costs anywhere from $500 to $1,500 or more. Adding an egress window and well runs about $3,900 on average. Adding a window well cover to the project can add $200 to $700. A well cover helps protect your egress windows from weather damage and keeps them clear of dirt, debris, and wildlife.

A good U-factor for windows is 0.30 or lower, but they can range from 0.20 to 1.20. A general rule of thumb when it comes to the U-factor is that the lower, the better.
