"Matt and Sam came out to our home in Bolivar today and we had the Heating and Air Duct cleaning and also had the EnviroCon Spray Treatment done and they were AMAZING ! So kind AND professional ! From start to finish we were walked thru the entire process and even got to see photos of what our ducts looked like before and after their cleaning . I highly recommend VentPro to anyone needing this job done . You will not be disappointed!"

"The service was completed in a reasonable time and the dryer is working fine and is much quieter. I do feel that the way the fees were explained to me on the phone was $100 for an inspection and diagnosis with an additional $100 fee for the repair, however I had already diagnosed the problem and the tech had the parts prior to arriving that there might be at least a partial discount since he was able to acquire the parts prior to arrival which saved him time and mileage to pick up parts."

"I am about a month late in posting about Danâ s Heating and Air Conditioning. I just randomly remembered to write a review. If ever in need, this is your guy. Quick, fairly priced, and efficient. After our heating quit working I called him up, and he was at the house within the hour. He diagnosed what was wrong with our heating, left to get the part in Springfield and was back real quick (we live in Fair Grove). I didnâ t expect to have my heating back that night, but he put us above all and got it working. It is still working a month later with no issues whatsoever. Thanks Dan!"

"I called several refrigeration type repair companies and they were the only ones that stepped up to the plate. Many companies don't want to work on wine coolers and mine is a Transtherm brand that holds 250 bottles. Fortunately, they have decades of experience and asked insightful questions to determine if they could help. After gathering more information from the French manufacturer, they were able to install a new thermostat. It's working perfectly now."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Ideally, an AC system should never need more Freon (a popular refrigerant) because it circulates in a closed loop. However, refrigerant leaks are not uncommon and may occur gradually over 5 to 15 years. If your system has a leak, it will need to be topped up in a process known as an AC recharge. Signs of a refrigerant leak include weakened AC performance, increased humidity in your home, higher utility bills, and a hissing sound from the unit. The cost of an AC recharge will depend on the size and type of your AC unit, as well as the type of refrigerant it uses.

Not if you have a standard unit. Because portable AC units actually work to dehumidify the room, you’ll likely need to drain the unit from time to time—but you won’t have to put water into it. There is, however, another type of air conditioner called a swamp cooler that requires water to operate. If you have a swamp cooler, you may need to fill a reservoir with water and potentially ice. But a swamp cooler is different from a standard portable AC unit.

Troubleshooting common issues with your AC often sheds light on a problem with the compressor. Signs that you need to replace a bad compressor include your AC blowing warm air, short cycling (turning on and off), making strange noises, and blowing less air overall. Since these problems can stem from several areas of your AC, always call a local AC repair team to confirm it's the compressor.

Most units are designed only to cool the house down to 20 degrees less than the temperature outside. This means that if it’s 99 degrees Fahrenheit out and you’re trying to cool your home down to 65 degrees, you’ll notice your AC is struggling.

Lower the blinds on all your windows, turn on your ceiling fans, and keep the thermostat at a consistent temperature to help your AC do its job. Investing in an HVAC maintenance plan also helps because pros will come out to inspect and tune up your unit regularly, keeping it in optimal working condition.

Yes, you can run an attic fan with the AC on. In fact, you don’t have a choice with a passive attic fan. Plus, when an attic fan draws out hot air from the attic, it helps regulate the temperature of your whole home, so your AC doesn't have to work as hard.
