Small jobs welcome

"Two men showed up and they got to work after setting things in place. Will was very plesant and explained what they did. My home is 104 years old and I found out his home was older than mine so I felt he knew the importance of the insulation for my home. I had very minimal in place and he assured me it would be much better now. I appreciated the time spent and the work preformed. I would recommend this company to anyone needing insulation for their home."

They seemed to know what they were doing and were helpful with taklng pictures of mold and showing me where it needed treatment. I have not hired them yet as I have not received a quote yet. IL am waiting for another company to come and give me a quote."

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

The amount of drywall you need for a 1,000-square-foot basement depends on the ceiling height, angles, number of doors and windows, and more. To find the wall square footage, multiply the width and height of each wall, minus any gaps from windows or doors, and add the totals together. You’ll also need enough drywood nails or screws to install the drywall correctly.

Wet-sanding and dry-sanding each have pros and cons. Dry-sanding is less messy, so it’s a good option if you’re trying to minimize dust (for example, if you’re sanding an occupied home or working with particularly dry or dusty drywall mud). However, dry-sanding is quicker because you don’t have to keep rinsing a sponge or wait for it to dry before painting.

Plaster provides a durable, soundproof, and moisture-resistant finish compared to drywall.

When you are learning how to tape and mud drywall, waiting for things to dry requires a lot of patience. So how long does drywall mud take to dry? On average, it takes about 24 hours. However, it depends on things like the thickness of the mud, as well as the room’s temperature, humidity, and ventilation. Using thin layers of mud in a warm, low-humidity room with good airflow reduces average drying time. You also could speed up drying time by making use of hot drywall mud, which consists of a powder that you mix with water, instead of using pre-mixed mud.

Plaster walls typically last between 30 and 70 years, but depending on the quality of the materials and the moisture levels in the building, they can last for over 100 years. With expert application and consistent maintenance, plaster can even last for centuries. To extend its lifespan, it is important to have the plaster professionally installed, address any water damage promptly, and repair small cracks as they appear. Regular inspections by a professional can help identify and address concerning cracks before they become significant issues.
