"David went above and beyond. We were transforming a screened in porch into a sunroom. Spraying insulation under the existing deck with 22” of crawl space was challenging. He did an amazing job. Also the ceiling is now well insulated. He was friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Show-Me Energy Solutions for any job. Thank you so much for making our vision a reality!"

"Anatoliy really knows what he is doing, explains choices clearly so you can make an informed decision and provide professional service, (he shows up and on time) We upgraded to a heat pump for our house and are quite pleased. I highly recommend AP Services. So much so that I had them add a Gree mini split to my 24 x 30 shop. Another excellent unit, performance, and installation experience"

"Would rate very good to excellent. . Personable, professional, punctual. Carpet, furniture, doors, windows and trim well protected before any work was started. Perhaps could have had less drywall damage with wallpaper removal in half of room. Wall surface repaired, primed, prepped for painting including sanding and painted.. ."

"If you need a drywall guy Dusty is great! Not only did he do a wonderful job with the drywall, he cleaned up after himself. Plus he did an awesome job of matching the stamp pattern finish the rest of the ceiling had!"

"I usually don't give reviews, however I am compelled to do so in this instance. I have engaged many other people in the past. Ted is that rare one of a kind person with ALL of the qualities you could only hope to find. His expertise, quality of work and work ethic is indeed the best I have ever encountered. If that wasn't enough, he is very honest, extremely dependable, great communication and has very fair pricing. He has definitely set the bar for his industry. With that all said, I can't think of a single reason to call anyone else which is why I without reservation highly recommend Handyman Solutions & Carpentry-Remodeling."

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

Yes, small, superficial cracks are normal as homes settle. Older homes have a higher chance of showing signs of settling through hairline cracks from temperature changes, moisture changes, and soil shifting. However, larger cracks, or discolored cracks from water damage, may signify a bigger problem that requires reparations and preventative measures.

Popular wall textures include orange peel, knockdown, spray sand, and smooth finishes. Orange peel and knockdown are particularly common choices for drywall as they are simple and cost-effective. Orange peel texture has a lightly bumpy surface resembling the skin of an orange, while knockdown (sometimes called knockout) looks like a stucco finish with flattened high spots. In contrast, popcorn texture has fallen out of fashion, partly due to its past association with asbestos and a shift toward more restrained interior design styles.

Whether it’s better to screw or glue drywall depends on your specific budget and project timeline. Professional drywall installers are more likely to use screws and fasteners than adhesives, but it takes longer. But if you are DIYing your drywall installation, glue is a perfectly fine choice if you’re willing to pay extra for adhesive.

Walls should be as smooth as possible before applying peel-and-stick wallpaper. Although you technically can apply wallpaper on textured walls, the peel-and-stick variety won’t last long without a clean, smooth surface for the adhesive to stick to. If you have textured walls, consult a pro about removing the textured finish before moving forward with wallpaper.

Yes, you can use drywall repair techniques for some types of plaster damage. Tiny holes and small cracks in plaster can be patched in similar ways to drywall. You apply the necessary compound to fill the hole, wait for it to dry, then sand it down. For larger damage, like water damage or mold, you need to use plaster-specific techniques and materials.
