"Overall, the carpets were very clean when they left. However, I felt that I had been "upsold" on the cleaning and ended up paying a lot more than I wanted to have my carpets cleaned. I was told that due to the type of carpet I have, it would need a "deep clean" because the regular clean covered by by Groupon wouldn't clean it well enough. The guy was pretty big, and obviously knows my home, so I felt intimidated and didn't want to say no. Plus I was told there were stains that might not come out with the regular clean and I really didn't want him to leave and still have stains so I went ahead with the deep clean...an extra $100+ that I wasn't expecting to spend.  (I was debating going with the regular clean to see if they'd come out but was afraid they'd just leave the stains to make a point.)
He was friendly enough, and out in less than two hours, but combined with the hard sell and forgetting the duct inspection, I was really turned off and I wouldn't recommend him nor will I use this company again.

"We recently purchased a home where three levels of the home needed carpeting replaced. Nancy came out, took time to explain the process, helped pick colors, and measured each room. Her pricing was competitive, and she was responsive with any questions. The crew came and finished the job in two days. Everyone was extremely professional, on time, and did an excellent job stretching the carpet into place. We are very happy with the finished rooms. Great job, Floor Coverings International!!"

"Shawn and his assistant did a great job stretching our basement carpet. There were able to work around a pool table that could not be moved, and lots of furniture. The amount of carpet they removed was incredible (it really needed stretching!) and it looks great. They were able to get the work done the same week I put in the request, did an great job communicating, and cleaned everything up afterwards. Would use again without a doubt."

Carpet Stretching questions, answered by experts

You’ll know if your carpet is stretched enough if it lies completely flat and smooth across your floor. If you have ripples, wrinkled areas, or carpet piling up along the baseboards, these are telltale signs that your carpet is not fully stretched. Release the carpet from the tack strip along one wall and use a stretcher or knee kicker to stretch out the carpet before securing it again.

Maintenance practices include regular vacuuming, prompt spill cleaning, and periodic professional deep-cleaning to remove embedded dirt particles and rejuvenate fibers.

Yes, you can revive carpet that’s flattened using household items like an ice cube and stiff brush, a damp cloth and an iron, baking soda and vinegar, and shaving cream. If you want to go all-out, visit a local home improvement store and buy a carpet rake, too. Depending on the state of your carpet, you may need to use more than one of these methods to see results. Keep in mind that you might need to repeat a reviving method more than once.

Most people realize it is time to replace the padding when the carpet loses springiness or feels thin and unsupportive. Other telltale signs are lumps or dips in the carpet that could look unattractive or cause tripping hazards. Similarly, if your carpet is making a crinkly sound or starting to wear out prematurely, you might need to replace your padding.

How long carpet dye lasts depends on the quality of the dye and the application process. At a minimum, dyed carpets keep their color for a year, but some can last longer. Many factors affect how long carpet dye lasts, including the amount of UV rays that hit the carpet, causing it to fade. However, the good news is you can have your carpet dyed annually to keep up the color.
