"The service man showed up precisely on time and after examining our carpets, recommended their less expensive steam cleaning service for our carpets since they were not heavily stained or well worn. He was very professional and polite. Everything looked great when he was done. But the next day, once the carpet dried, some of the heavy traffic areas still showed some dirt. When Like New Again called me to see if I was satisfied with the job I mentioned this. Another cleaner was sent out THAT AFTERNOON! I was happily surprised by the responsiveness of customer service. This second cleaner had a different machine, a scrubber that was a lot more aggressive. I was not charged a dime for this second cleaning. When the carpet dried the next day it truly did look like "new again". We are very happy with the final results and especially how they kept working until we were completely satisfied.

"Overall a fine experience: He gave me an estimate over the phone, which seemed appropriate, as I was asking for a completely standard job. We made an appointment for early the next week. He showed up on time and was very conscientious about keeping dust out of the house. He stripped the grout from between the tub and the tile wall, refinished the tub, and caulked the edges. He fixed a small dent in the original finish. The end product looks very good. He changed from the original pink finish to white, and I can't see any pink showing through. My one--small--hesitation is the list of do's and don'ts that he left when the job was completed. There are a lot of cautions, including the suggestion that you shouldn't leave shampoo bottles sitting on the rim of the tub. (Continual moisture may soften the finish.) The refinished tub sounds like it will require substantially more cautious treatment than the original. For me, this is an acceptable compromise to get rid of the pink color. However, it would have been nice to hear these cautions beforehand, or to see them listed on his website. Still, a minor quibble. Good job.  UPDATE 11/2011:  Recently, the faucet associated with that bathtub developed a drip.  In the couple of weeks between my noticing the drip and getting a plumber in to fix it, the coating adjacent to the bathtub drain loosened and started to flake off.  I suspect that this reflects the fact that the process is inherently kind of fragile, rather than any specific problem with the workmanship."

Apparently the employee that bid the project for us no longer works for the company. And he underbid our project by a lot, based on the huge reaction of Jason, who was the first guy to come out to start work on it. He told me that they were going to have to walk away from the project because they would lose so much money because the project was SO underbid. So the owner, Lenny, calls me and tells me the same thing, which was basically just totally unacceptable as I had signed a contract, paid my deposit, and arranged for the work to be done about a month in advance. He offered to give me my deposit back plus $25 for the inconvenience. $25. $25 to make up for the three other bids that I didn't take from other companies, $25 for the extreme aggravation it would have been to either get the shower rebid, or contact the people I had already rejected and made arrangements, $25 for more weeks of having our bathroom in limbo waiting for the shower to be redone. So no, I did not accept that offer, and they started the work as promised, finished the work and I couldn't be happier with how it looks, and charged me $250 more than what was originally bid. So for $250 they were willing to just walk away, break a contract, and leave a customer in flux? For $250? I don't get it. So unfortunately, even though their skill is amazing and their employees very professional, I don't think I could recommend them to anyone based on the blow they dealt me on the first day. Perhaps my experience was a once-in-a-lifetime thing, but I wouldn't want a friend to go threw the aggravation if they didn't have to. Because boy was it aggravating!
