"Hard to imagine a smoother installation.  One worker who was incredibly industrious as well as courteous and neat removed the tub and the old shower and installed the new shower, walls, door, etc. skillfully and with very little inconvenience to us!

"Overall price and what the service this company provide i think they are great. My issue was the sale gentleman that got me enroll to my account was not the greatest experience, I keep asking questions and he kept interrupting me asking me for my address, I know they probably make their money by making a commission but taking extra 5 minutes to make sure customers understand the service should be a priority. I am a single mom and I can’t afford to make one time payment at this time and when I was giving my card information the sales gentleman told me with attitude why don’t you just make one time payment instead, after me telling him I couldn’t afford making the one time payment, I could only afford the monthly payment. I honestly felt offended the way he said it, maybe they need to train their sale personal on having some sympathy for customers, I did my research and I signed up anyways because this company has great reviews and hope this is the only bad experience I have with them."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

While gasket-sealed PVC flanges are the type most commonly found in homes, flanges come in a range of different materials, including copper, brass, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum, that pros sometimes secure with glue. If this is the case in your bathroom, the replacement is a job better left to the pros.

While tubs are fairly sturdy, you may notice cracks or holes. This kind of damage can happen from someone accidentally dropping something heavy into the tub. You might also see damage if you drop something heavy into the tub over and over again (like your extra large bottle of body wash). While you might only notice a small dent at first, this can later turn into a crack or a hole.

Also, certain cleaners that are harmful to your tub can cause damage. And if you have a fiberglass tub, you might see cracks if it was not installed properly with the right support.

The cost of rough-in basement bathroom plumbing can be less expensive than the cost of rough-in plumbing in the rest of the house. Materials, labor, and fixtures make up the bulk of the price, but plumbing and electrical are often nearby to where your basement bathroom fixtures will be.

In the United States, a depth of 36 inches (three feet) for underground water lines is the accepted industry standard. This depth varies from location to location based on local conditions. In areas with colder winters, they may be buried deeper to prevent frozen well water pipes : This is usually at least six inches below the frost level. The International Plumbing Code calls for a minimum of 12 inches below grade.

Watch for sinkholes in your yard. Also, if the water pressure in your sinks, showers, and other fixtures is notably lower, this is usually a sign that an underground water line is leaking. This affects sprinkler lines and can make the sprinklers shoot out water with very little water pressure, meaning they won’t water your lawn and garden as effectively as normal.
