CHIMNEY INSPECTIONS LEVEL 1 AND LEVEL 2\nWE DO NOT SERVICE GAS FIREPLACES\n\nChimney Rebuilds\nWhen deterioration of the chimney reaches the point of no return, the solution is a tear-down and rebuild. A partial chimney rebuild can be done in cases where a portion of the structure is salvageable. All rebuilds include installation of a new concrete chimney crown.\n\nChimney Liners\nChimney liners provide an extra layer of protection between the chimney wall and your home. This additional protection is critical, as defects commonly appear in the chimney wall, beginning a process that gradually erodes the chimney. As the chimney wall gives way to deterioration, the potential arises for the infiltration of smoke and gases into your home, as well as damage

"My chimney cap blew off and I could find an affordable solution with this company, it was fast, and excelent service. They ordered a custom cap in a few days and installed in one week, they also performed a full cleaning with discount in the total of the service. Also offered me a discount for the anual maintenance, they were kind and the communication was at the right moment. I recommend them."

"We hired Gael Chimney to inspect and potentially provide some solutions for 2 fireplaces in our home that did not pass level 2 inspection. They provided estimates that were very complete and broken down into categories that were understandable.Their estimates were not only more complete than those we received from others, but they were also considerably lower in cost. When it came to having the work done, they were prompt, worked very hard, and were very excellent at cleaning up. They were creative with solutions and willing to some some features along the way that improved the value for us. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend this company!"

"It went great. Actually I thought my chimney was leaking, but the technician did a little more checking and noticed a slow leak from my hot water heater. I was very happy with the work he did. He gave me lots of information, answered a my questions and left the work area nice and clean."

"My wife has been wanting to replace our wood burning Fireplace for years. So on October 28th we decided to see if we could get it done before our annual cookie exchange in December. We drove to Condor Fireplaces first because Pat hears them advertised on 107.1. But they were closed on Sunday so we drove to Fireside Hearth and Home in Roseville. They had given us a quote several years ago and we like their showroom. Ken Kurhajec helped us find just the right insert for our home. BTW, Ken is a fabulous guy to work with and totally customer focused!
We ordered the fireplace and outlined a tentative install target date. Scheduling the measurement for the final order was a bit difficult so Ken came out and did it himself. Then we set target install, inspection, surround finish and gas turn on dates. But our cookie exchange wasn't scheduled yet so we had to guess when and work around that date.
On November 12th, we nailed down the dates for the cookie exchanged based on an incredibly complex set of obligations in December. The only date that worked fell between the install and turn on dates. So I contacted Ken to get the name of who I needed to contact to get the turn on date changes.
I called them and they told me that the problem was the custom surround. It wouldn't be ready until the day after the cookie exchange. I asked them to see if they could get that moved up 2 days so we could get everything done on time for the cookie exchange. They promised me they would but told me that the custom surround company was not generally responsive to delivery changes..
But then the install guys showed up on the install date WITH the custom surround. Hurray, I thought that everything would be done on time. I called the city, explained the situation and asked them if they could schedule the inspection that afternoon or first thing in the morning. They helped out and got us inspected by 10AM the next morning. Then I called the schedulers again.
This was the only really bad part of our experience. They told me that nothing had been done to move up the final setup and turn on. It was just a coincidence that the custom surround arrived early. They said that the final setup and turn on was going to be the 4th and that is all there is to it. She said that is just the way they do it, one week between install and turn on.  No call that I "supposedly made" on the 12th would have changed that. Well, thank you very much.
I contacted Ken and he got it setup for Saturday, the day before the cookie exchange. THIS time THANK YOU VERY MUCH was in order and sincere.
On Saturday, there was a glitch with the install side. The gas log box needed to be raised. At first it looked like we were still going to have an unfinished box for the exchange. But Ken and Gene got on it and (I forget his name) one of the guys who had done the install got it done! THANK YOU VERY MUCH again!
It is beautiful and was a real hit with the crowd at the cookie exchange. Having a beautiful, glowing fireplace says more than all of the advertising that Condor does with Lori and Julia. :-)
A special thanks to Ken, Gene and The Install Guy!!! Not so much for the schedulers.

Chimney Inspection questions, answered by experts

Individual soft spots can often be repaired if they’re caught early enough and the damage isn’t extensive. If soft spots cover a large portion of the roof or the roof sheathing is in poor condition, you’ll probably need to replace your roof to preserve its structural integrity.

Permit fees sometimes include the cost of a solar panel inspection, but it depends on local regulations. In some locations, the inspection process involves several site visits with a preinstallation, in-progress, and post-installation inspection. We’ve covered the latter. Working with an experienced installer can help you through each step of the inspection process.

Some homes, like those with flat roofs, may not have eaves at all. Some contemporary-style homes also lack eaves, although many may have abbreviated eaves to divert water and protect the walls and foundation. Homes without eaves often have specific types of gutters affixed directly to the edge of the roof to provide adequate drainage.

If you choose tile for your roof, take the time to hire a true tile professional. Look at trusted online review sites to find a top-rated roofing contractor. This helps you zero in on great contractors while avoiding ones who bait and switch you with fluctuating bids.

After you’ve narrowed down a few great candidates with reasonable bids, there are some important questions to ask roofers before you hire. Be sure they are licensed, bonded, and insured before signing a contract. Once you find a roofer who checks off all your boxes, you’re ready to get your project started.

Most manufacturers’ warranties do not cover wind damage to roof shingles, but some companies include a wind warranty rider in their warranty offer. You can purchase this rider to protect yourself, your wallet, and your roof from any damage that might occur from wind. Be sure to read all the fine print and understand any limitations of the warranty.
