"Was the lowest quote I received for replacing my water heater. Talked to him on Friday - water heater was installed by Monday evening and working perfectly. Highly recommended. Did a great job. Very responsive to questions and had the best price. The will allow you to buy your own water heater and just pay them for installation."

"Doing business with WaterWorks Plumbing was a very positive experience. I really appreciated how Mike (the owner) discussed the price with me as we went through the house and then emailed me the official estimate before driving away. And if that wasn't heads and tails above the others we interviewed for bids, his price was almost half the cost of what the others were charging! We did remodel work on 2 bathrooms and throughout the process Mike and his coworker were extremely respectful of our house and very pleasant to work with. I plan on hiring this company for all our future plumbing needs, and gladly recommend them!"

Water Softeners questions, answered by experts

No, a water descaler won't descale pipes. The charged water running through the pipes may very slowly dissolve mineral deposits and hold them inside the water, but it's a very gradual process. If your pipes do need descaling, it's much better to get a local plumber to descale your pipes.

There are many possibilities for why your shower’s water pressure is low. It might be a simple-to-fix issue like the water valves being partially turned off, a dirty showerhead or hose, leaks in the plumbing, or an old showerhead. However, low water pressure in the shower could also indicate a larger issue with your home’s plumbing system.

You should not use a water conditioner with a water softener because a water conditioner changes the chemistry of the water and causes the ion exchange in a softener to be ineffective. Choose a water softener if you have hard water or well water, and use a water conditioner if you need to remove certain contaminants.

It’s unlikely that hard water on its own could cause substantial hair loss or damage, though it’s true that bathing in hard water can cause your scalp to feel itchy or flaky and might dull your hair’s natural shine. Using high-quality shampoo and conditioner or buying a whole-home water softener can decrease these issues.

Yes, a water softener can remove scale deposits. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, after you add a water softener to your home, “gradually the softer water will dissolve limescale scale deposits and remove the problem entirely.” Installing a water softener—or water descaler—will also help prevent new scale deposits from forming.
