"I have had Melon Man do several projects for me & couldn’t be happier. Andrew is professional, trustworthy, punctual, does extremely nice work & when he is done I don’t have a huge mess to clean up. When we replaced the front door on our home, the “custom” built door was smaller than it was supposed to be. Andrews problem solving skills actually made the job turn out looking better than if the door had come the correct size. I highly recommend Melon Man & will certainly be using him again in the future. Give him a call- you will not be disappointed!!"

"I called Alarm Protection Group AFTER my office was burglarized. Now I feel SAFE. William is great to work with. He's neat and tidy, prompt, presentable - not a butt-crack type of guy, and he doesn't leave a mess in his wake. He's also knowledgeable about the equipment and only uses high-quality products."

"We are very happy with Stephen Granger's work on this project. The quality of his work was great, he was neat and cleaned up after doing the work. His cost was competitive, scheduled the work to meet our needs and completed the work as scheduled. We will use Stephen again as new handy man projects come up."

Customers say: Super punctual

"Jerry did a perfect job. He came on time, answered all my questions, and explained everything I wanted to know (as I am a non-technical person). He did a very clean and excellent work in reversing two of my doors. Other providers didn't agree to do it at all. The price was fair. I am very happy with his work, I highly recommend him. Definitely, would hire him again.

Locksmiths questions, answered by experts

It depends on the quality of the keyless lock and usage, but in general, you can expect a keyless lock to last around three to five years. The batteries typically last around six to 12 months. The good news is most keyless locks include a low battery indicator so you can receive ample warning if your battery is about to die.

Yes, with better technology now available, it’s possible to add a smart lock on your sliding glass door. Smart locks can be easy for almost everyone in the family to operate and can connect to other safety features in the home, like smart lights. Plus, they’re harder for would-be criminals to pick. However, keep in mind that smart locks can potentially be hacked, and some completely rely on phones or Wi-Fi, which can be an issue if the power goes out.

It depends on what type of keyless entry it is and if the locksmith has the proper tools to remove a keypad entry lock since some are more advanced than others. However, locksmiths can typically work around keyless entries to vehicles, so it depends on what type of keyless entry system needs opening.

Yes, you should always change your locks after buying a house. Do so as soon as possible after you move in. Otherwise, you won’t know who has working keys to the property, whether they’re spare keys or otherwise. If an intruder gains access to your house with a key, it may not be covered under your homeowners insurance.

If your key breaks in a lock, first remain calm and avoid forcing the broken piece further in. You may be able to remove it yourself if a portion of the key is still protruding from the lock. To aid removal, lubricate the keyhole with a graphite-based spray. Then, try using tools like pliers, tweezers, a bobby pin, or even a jigsaw blade to gently grasp and pull the broken piece out. If these methods don't work, you can't reach the key, or you're concerned about damaging the lock, it's best to call a professional locksmith for assistance.
